haha i was like u, cephelix.. n i dun ever believe i'm getting the best price... and my constant bargaining sometimes gets on the nerves of AJ or the TA auntie...

i remember once i asked for 2 nuts for my scoot from TA.. then the auntie ask me to pay $1-something..then i was like.."auntie... like that also want to charge? scared i won't come back again ah..."

eventually she let me off without paying for it..but its like $1+...i think the total 'discount' i got from TA is about $6-10?

oooo...

fluffpuff>> i think i saw ur bike at AJ before, if its the one in ur avatar.

sharpey>> can't say AJ overcharges every time lah, might offend those old-timers at his place. Different shops have different system in conducting their business.

But yes, don't trust your mechanic too much. They are afterall running a business and their aim is to make profit. But they won't go overboard too, since we're his source of income... its a bit of give and take

oh..AJ gave me a total 'discount' of about $36++ so far...

then again...we will never know which part was jacked up 1st before bringing it down. Singapore way of business. Cos we all like to bargain..force the shops to jack the price up

cephelix - ya loh if the fur cover gets wet, my pants do too la. i secure it with ribbons under the seat itself but it's kinda troublesome untying the cover cos i tied dead knots, then cut off excess ribbon so it's gonna be a terror retying it in future again. it's ok. it's a minor inconvenience for the aesthetic purpose it serves  i bought cheapo plastic crystals for my DIY artwork haha no money to buy Swarovski crystals leh

If your front brake is sticking... you should get it looked at... it should be fixed if it's jerky....
