Dude for putting up a footrest, u will have to get a brake cable for the rear

screws, bolts and nuts. All these would cause u another 10$ or more.

+ worksmanship abt $30 -$40 sgd if done in singapore.

Just to let u know that, with the footrest on, there will be no effective rear

brakes, rear brake lighting up, side stand.

Huh, material plus labour cost so much meh, cant we juz DIY ourself???

It may seems easy to talk to fix.

However, when you do it, its quite complicated and fastrating.

So most mechanics doesn't like to fix racing footrest as different bikes have to mod differently.

So of coz they charge higher worksmanship fees.

Basically, from Stock to Aftermarket footrest is the most headache ting.

If aftermarket to aftermarket is still not that big headache.

You wanna DIY also possible, firstly you will require

the tools, screws, bolts, nuts, brackets to hold the exhaust, brake cable or rod, gear shifting rod etc.

Well speaking sounds easy, to get things done is quite a Hazard, so for such complex and uneasy stuff, i would normally ask my mechanic to deal with it.

The best footrest so far in the aftermarket world for cubs are

these two..

1) Nui Racing footrest (made in thailand too i suppose?)

2) Pop Talanoid Racing footrest (made in thailand)

the yamaha racing footrest aint as good as wat alot tot it would b... i was 1 of the first to get 1 of them... and it isnt as high as wat other footrest is, u can scrap it easily as well as it comes with side stand... if say u are pretty hard core in corners den i wont recommend this and the pillion footrest u will need to modify a bracket extension as it is too near to the racing footrest, its isnt as solid as it is as well cos during the midst i got bang by taxi,... and it was a pretty light bang... my bike jus drop nia... but the rest is bent... and there isnt subsitute thus i changed the whole rest...

Iv heard oso abt the disadvantage of this Yamaha Footrest....it looks strong and realiable but Yos_bikey said it needs a lil modification to really work on our cubs. To my opinion the brands that Ash states is among the good ones...rather den the Cheapo brands.

just changed to the yamaha TDR racing footrest yest and yerp it worked quite fine..rear brake even though not that effective but wif coordination wif the engine n front brakes..its not much of a problemo afterall.BTW, change the metal to cable brakes for the rear to work.even though its not as strong as the stock..but it works quite fine.and my pillion footrest is connected as its a full set..it can be folded.so far so good..thumbs ** for yamaha TDR racing footrest.
