For the RAM question:

 

There are no "side effects" with using somebody else's RAM, but do take note that you are being sold something that you do not know whether it comes with defects or not.

 

Kinda like being sold a 2nd-hand bike...it may be nice, but you don't really know what's wrong inside. Might be problem free, might not be?

 

To predict and to say that RAM does have "side-effects" makes its basic operating nature incongruent.

Apples maintain their freshness when maintained. They naturally rot and decay whilst left alone, or if they are being eatened by worms/insects -- but to illustrate your meaning of "side effect," do you expect an apple to become spoilt when another person consumes it?

Thanks redbeacon. A bit deep but I get the answer. That is the thing I am worried about. Whether will there be 'worms' in the apple.

 

So any idea on the external battery pack? Ask a few shops they all mention dont have. Hopefully someone has seen or bought it before.
