So Actually FC For Mazda 3 Is Terrible??

mz3 heavy, lack of power? this is very subjective, i have no problem with that at all

 

stability? yes very shiok especially when u r on the nshw, twisty road, sure u will like it. after 2-3 in mz3, i feel like seating in an altis = floating in a boat.

 

For mz3, u r getting volvo-developed chassis & ford focus-like suspension.

As u know, volvo for safety & focus for their handling, so it's best of both worlds at a lower price. Engine by mazda, so you get jap reliability as well. Build quality one of the best in that price range. Best of 3 worlds, I should say!

Pickup is only sluggish at lower speeds, but once it gets up to speed, it's on par with other 1.6 cars. Refinement & engine noise is decent for its class.

 

FC-wise, it's definitely not the best. With volvo-like chassis, surely u dun expect FC to be fantastic, rite? My avg FC is abt 12.

In short, if u value FC/power, dun consider mz3!

Otherwise, it's great value-for-money all-rounder!

hmmm.... u r half right thou ... depending on which dealer u go to... if u happen to meet a nasty PI, they will expect u to top up the c.o.e as they'll oni kept the c.o.e at a certain amount. and if u dun ..... they might juz forfeit ir deposit... but personally i think the 08' model 1.3 fit is pretty good looking .... spacious .... n sporty looking+ price pretty attractive.

sorry..but pickup means accelerating from a lower speed to a higher speed..

 

get up to speed liao...of course no problem lah...

 

car manufacturers will only show on their catalogue the 0-100kmh time...not many will show the 60-100kmh timing...the essential part is the moving off...how long will it take to rev enough to pull away...

 

looks like you really love you car...

 

anyway to the threadstarter......it all depends on budget lah...and what kind of car you are looking for. what are your priorities? space? fuel consumption? availability of mods? comfort?

 

list down your priorities....and see which car fulfills most of it...that should be the car for you...consider carefully though...buying a car is a long term committment...

Considerations for Buying a car in Singapore...

1st) Ur budget -fullpayment or downpayment and monthly instalment plus factor in Road Tax, Petrol, Insurance, parking and ERP.

2nd) Choose all the cars that are in ur Budget (incl factors mentioned above)

3rd) By now u shud have pin pointed to only a few cars. Cross out the 'Brands' that r unreliable or that u dont like(considering designs and the look of the cars too) No one wub be happy driving the car they hate looking at even tho its a powerful car or stylish for others.

4th) Consider ur usage of the car.
