Meet: Blk 22 Sin Ming Rd Bak Kut Teh for dinner (Will leave for Icekimo by 1945hrs)

This ice cream cafe located at Sin Ming is bright and cheery, with a pink and white colour scheme, great for lazing around with friends on a hot afternoon. Interesting ice-cream flavours include Jasmine and Milo Dino. Ice cream also comes served on a waffle. Their best seller is the teh tarik flavour.

Kulfi, Hindi for ice cream, is a popular North Indian dessert. It does not taste like regular ice cream, as it has cardamom, an Indian spice, added to it.

 

'Cardamom helps cleanse the system,' says owner Murli Daswani.

 

Made from low fat fresh milk, honey and fresh fruit, the mixture is boiled for an hour and frozen overnight.

 

Kulfi Bar, which opened last December, uses a recipe passed down from Mr Daswani's family.

 

Familiar flavours like chocolate and strawberry are available, but there are also exotic ones like mukhwas kulfi, made from mint and fennel seeds.

 

A single scoop costs $4.90.

today's turnout is like one of the largest so far... hehe.. but the record of tubs still not broken leh..

 

Ice-cream for today is not bad, Some new favours such as the blueberry cheescake.

 

As for others like Durian, mango and its teh tarik, still kinda lose to the other outlet in my opinion.

 

 

Anyway, nice also to see the ESR today... join us for more ice-cream in future!
