very well said..coz it is a sportrsbike by the way..the pillion is a human too..they will feel the pressure on the back as well..and they will tend to lean..

diff bikes are set up differently..sum are more facing downwards..some are more upright..plus the seat plays a part..i dont have seats that have super slick material which does not coz the pillion to sit still and not slip to the front when maybe braking or cornering..

 

yeah man..if i wan comfort wud have taken the concourse liao

 

bro, there is good & bad when it comes to race replicas bikes like r6, r1, zx1, k k ks....well, it also helps IF u have good aftermarkets seat skins...maybe u want to invest in that??for you & the pillion comfort??

ur bike's tails is also steep with the pillion always have difficulty when mounting your bike..anyway race bikes arent made for tours rite, that y they are called race bikes...

i believe even a kup can go touring... it's the rider who does the touring, not the bike....

 

actually any bike oso can go touring.

its a matter of how long u reach there ... for dat u need lotsa will-power.

 

as said by zamani n caramon, any bikes can go touring and its the rider, never the ride. Of course, there are certain points need to be taken note of such as power, engine torque, rider capability to ride long hours n distances and others..

but i limit the topic to mainly race replicas and tourer bikes(adventure n sports tourer).

 

i believe that race replicas can go touring without any difficulty, they can tear down the nsh in a matter of seconds, roaring from gear 1 up to gear 6, clocking speeds up to 280 in no problem. Even the touring bikes can do justice by covering 180-230 in no problem at all..

but the deal here is not the speed but the common backache that is being mentioned.

i think that backaches and other matters are mainly on the rider capability to handle and its easier and less painful if ur a regular. so sportbikes can go touring and play the twisties without any problem. of course, they lose out to adventure tourers in rough terrain la.

 

i think a point that shld be mention that most racers that go touring think abt is the baggage. we dun have boxes. if we put them, they look ugly..even if we put side luggages, it wld chg the natural alignment of the bike. thus, a standard tank bag or a haversack does the deal here..

u can handle the weight?cornering would be difficult. even if u have a stuffed up tank bag wld disturb ur riding posture.

everytime top up petrol, take out tank bag..

if u stop one time nvm. go thailand wher u stop at least 5 times..

i second that most racers feel the pinch when they go thailand, the land where everything is cheap n they wann to buy..

wher to put, others have boxes..

this is wher we lose out..at least to what i think

hey man, regarding ur pillion complaining about ur bike seatin posture not comfortable, i think is because she seating on e top side n had to bend down to hold on e tank (sportbike) that's why she cannot take it.Usually my wife share seat with me and put a pvc pipe on our footrest to extend e footrest so that pillion leg can rest on it, when we go for touring(04R1), she never complain before.. only after 4hrs ride then she start to adjust her butt...bro u can try tis menthod on ur bike,btw what bike r u riding?
