Wah swey man kena up north. Anyways I changed my batt on the day it failed me which was on Wed at first, Yuasa $140. My rectifier is still in good condition from the looks of it so I didn't change it. So far after two days of riding, voltage is very stable, actually after changing the magnetic coil, i do not encounter anymore double sweeping of the speedometer needle anymore. I am just very upset at the terms and conditions of our warranty by boon siew and also the fact that we got short changed with a made in China magnetic coil. I guess even the big boys wanna save on costs now. No wonder they do not include our magnetic coil in the parts available for warranty claim cause they know it's smth that is going to bite them in the ass if they do. I remember there was one batch of Suzuki 1000cc, **** me not, I reckon it was the k6 series that was also affected by the magnetic coil issues. I recalled seeing a shitload of those bikes at bike shops during that time

Brother, after changing to a new battery, the "double sweeping" problem should not occur until about 6 to 8 months later if you ride daily. The new battery can hold its charge better during this time.

hey bro sparker, if the batt is weak, you change it or you just charge it? i encounter double sweeping sometimes and sometime not.

I charge it, costly to get a new one unless the battery cannot hold the charge anymore.

May I gather some information from you regarding your magnetic coil burnt?

1. What's the engine oil brand you're using when your magnetic coil burnt? Are your using original honda oil filter?

2. Did you get your engine oil changed after the magnetic coil changed?

I didn't change my engine oil after the magnetic coil burnt as the engine oil still smooth to me. I'm thinking whether I should have the engine oil changed immediately or not.

Maybe i can answer your question.

1. Motul 300V & K&N oil filter

2. No, still fresh, only top up.

1) Am using pre-made eo with nano & x1-r additive from William aka Ah Pek. Original honda oil filter.

2) Haven't changed eo as it was just recently changed.

I'm using Ah Pek's Engine Oil too. Any way, I decided to change mine as it'd becomes dark (around 7000KM now but still smooth). I just afraid the carbon (dark colour particles) can be conductive at high temperature. You know our revo is super "hot".

Yeah, I change every 7000-8000 as well as though bike is still smooth when riding and after draining, the eo still feels oily rather then dry.

hey guys. share something with u all. i went bike shopping today! went from shops in bukit merah all the way to the east side! mostly asking for revo pricings.

got one motor shop, shouldnt say the name in case i show signs of defaming. the boss ask me not to buy revo. he says its a freaking problematic bike. fuel injector spoil easily, wash the bike also can spoil the bike, and he says it is made in china, low quality. i understand earlier batches of revo might have some electronic problems but is it still found in the newer batches?

Best prices for revo i found today is given by Mah Motors and Excel Cycle.

Mah motors : 18k OTR including my insurance (2nd party). ( im 22 years old, less than 2 years riding experience )

Excel cycle : 17.9k OTR including my insurance (2nd party).

anyone of u got any good/bad experience dealing with buying/selling of bike with these shops? care to share pls?

i dont mind paying 100 more bucks for good service ( after sales service equally important )

If you're paying by installments you need to check their interest rates and any "annual" costs involved. And also any shop near you will be ideal for paying installments. Get them to work out the sum for you.

Boy_yuz : i know what u mean. But i intend to buy a s4 and use for long. That's why i wanted a new one.

Xiaoyuer : yep kinda. But should say i regret buying new pulsar. Cos now resale price not good. But pulsar itself i think it's a 2b bike which can make its own stand in the 2b market. I dont see it losing to other 2b bikes. Just doesnt have a brand to back it up

I had heard of the problem from the earlier batches too but Honda did a recall for replacment and checking back then right?

I had very bad experience with one of the shop you mention above. Actually it wasn't just me. Riders whom I came to know also had unpleasant experiences from it.
