Ever since I changed my coil, been noticing my fan has been turning on very often, out of 10 stops, the fan will be activated around 7times. Anything i should be worried about?

whats the FC for this bike? been reading and seeing close to 300km for a full tank. How much is that?

Considering buying a new revo for 12.8 - 13k or a 2nd hand GSR 400. Any advice ?

My best consumption figure is 20.01km/L. At the time of re-fuel, it showed 294.2km on the clocks and the tank took in 14.701L of petrol. The tank capacity is 18L but in reality, you need to have at least 1-1.5L in the tank before the bike stalls, depending on riding conditions (upslope/downslope and corner lean angles are factors involved.)

So, 300km on a full tank is achievable. This was for riding in SG but with some expressway trips thrown in.

I normally get about 18.5-19km/L due to short start-stop trips in SG. If I feel itchy and ride at higher RPMs in SG, consumption will be about 17km/L. When riding in MY at higher speeds, the consumption increases to about 14km/L.

How much the re-fill costs depends on where you pump your petrol and grade of petrol you use.

Nothing. It's normal. Mine comes on if I let it idle for about 4-5mins from cold start.

So how? Can buy Revo already or not?

BTW, just noticed your post when I was MIA about bike shops and Revo hunting. I can recommend you to the shop I go to. Good after sales service. PM me if you want me to check out price for you.

hey guys. share something with u all. i went bike shopping today! went from shops in bukit merah all the way to the east side! mostly asking for revo pricings.

got one motor shop, shouldnt say the name in case i show signs of defaming. the boss ask me not to buy revo. he says its a freaking problematic bike. fuel injector spoil easily, wash the bike also can spoil the bike, and he says it is made in china, low quality. i understand earlier batches of revo might have some electronic problems but is it still found in the newer batches?

anyone of u got any good/bad experience dealing with buying/selling of bike with these shops? care to share pls?

I just don't get these salespeople who bad-mouth products that they don't carry themselves. What's worse is when they know what they're saying isn't true. If they can lie to you without blinking an eyelid how ethical can they be? Can we trust their word when it comes to after-sales service?

i dont mind paying 100 more bucks for good service ( after sales service equally important )

That's the way to go. :thumb:

PM me if you want my referral to a good shop.

I failed my first attempt as well, stupid mistake, accumulated only 4 points but had one dumb immediate cause I went up the 2B slope instead of the 2A slope, haha.

hi guys,

I am a 20 year old krr150 rider. I have been planning to upgrade to a bigger bike. 90% chance of taking SUPERFOUR.

I have been reading/ researching abt cb400's. planning to get a cb400 spec 3 vs cb400 REVO

But I would like to just check with current cb400 rider about some thinking and get their review..hopefully some friendly S4 rider will be of help :D

1)

I know spec3 and revo major difference is the carburator and fuel injector(EFI).

Other then that other there any other difference...?? (I know abt ABS brakes also any other different)

2)

Is the bike petrol consumption that great between spec 3 and revo ?? Does the EFI matter so great ??

Cause the last time i went to bike shop talk talk with mech..one friendly mech was saying carburator easier and cheaper to maintain compared to injector...

And he specifically kept saying if injector gt problem very expensive very expensive.

3)

i would like to know more abt big bike fans (super noob in this cas kr no fan :p)

According to wat i understand when bike reach a certain temp fan comes on. But do we have to service the fan or anything ??

And i would like to know what would happen if bike temp get very high and fan not working ?? (i know its kind of a stupid question but as i told earlier small bike no fan no idea abt fan all sorry !!!)

4)

And i would like to know how much does it cost to service bike...?? And what all do you need to service ?? Service how regularly ??

Any idea abt insurance price (20 year old) ??

Sorry for the long post. Hopefully someone can help out with my doubts.

Thanks in advance.

Ride Safe.

Peace.

:D

I am not a racer. I am a rider.

BBDC instructors told me 2A is as difficult to pass as 2B. I got a bare pass of 18 points for 2A compared to my 2B 4 points. I guess you really need to stay calm and confident. I always take a sweet/mint before a test to keep myself calm. As taught by my BBDC class 3c instructor.

Check coolant level or any issues tat the radiator is not working properly.

At wat rpm does vtec kick in for spec1,2,3 and revo respectively?

When does Vtec opens?

VTEC 1 = 6700 RPM

VTEC 2 = 6350 RPM

VTEC 3 / Revo = 6350 RPM for first 5 gear and 6750 RPM for the last gear.

Hi, i need some opinions from the experts here.

When turn on ignition, voltmeter will display 8 volt & will slowly (abt 8 seconds) go up to 12 volt plus. When press start button, no cranking sound at all & volt will go down to 8 volt & speedometer will off at same time. When push start, bike will start but idling will be very low (abt 0.5 rpm) & engine will die off when open throttle.

Whats the issue? I assume its the starter carbon since there isnt any cranking sound. But how come batt voltage also affected? Just changed batt 3 months ago.

Anyone changed starter carbon b4? Price & location?
