Any one encounter problem for fuel injector, ignition coil & magnetic coil?

Not all three at the same time. Mine was a burnt magnet coil. Only replaced the coil with orignal coil.

BTW, if either the rectifier or magnet coil is faulty, you just need to change that part. Don't be conned by unscrupulous mechanics who tell you that you have to change the rectifier and battery at the same time.

If your battery is good to begin with, faulty magnet coil seldom affect the rectifier and battery. Only if you're really unlucky that a faulty magnet coil can sometimes affect the rectifier.

Same goes for the rectifier. Faulty rectifier has a smaller chance of affecting the magnet coil.

Someone once told me that when his magnet coil died, he replaced the rectifier and battery at the same time. If the battery is weak, it can be re-charged. Unless the battery is about 2 years old, it's just a waste of good money on a new battery. If the rectifier works fine with a new magnet coil, why change?

Ignition coil or starter motor can be serviced. This is done by replacing the carbon brush within the starter motor. Unless of course if your bike couldn't start and you keep pushing the starter button and cranking the motor till it overheat.

have any of you guys did wheel alignment before?

Yes, DIY with string. Need to have centre stand or jack up the rear so the bike is level though.

As @StrongBow said, you're probably confused with the units of pressure, Kpa & psi.

Honda recommends the following for riding with pillion:

Front - 250Kpa which is the same as 36psi

Rear - 290kpa (42psi)

You should start with those pressures. Ride for a few days or a week. Pay attention to how the bike feels especially when cornering. After a week, start increasing front and rear by 1.5-2psi. Ride for a few days. Does it feel better? If not, go back to 36F/42R. Then reduce by 1.5-2psi and see the difference.

Sometimes you might not feel any difference as some bikers are more sensitive than others. It's ok, don't worry about it. One day, when you're just riding and you feel that "Hey, this feels just right!". After the ride and the tyre cools down, measure the pressure with your tyre gauge. That's the best pressure for you.

Nope, waste of money.

Sorry to hear about your TP. Hope you make it in Nov! :)

BTW, please avoid giving advise like "usually we pump ard 30+ only". Firstly, there's a lot of difference between 31psi and 39psi.

Don't mean to flame you or anything. Just that I find such advise to be not much help to begin with. In fact it is inappropriate advise as he already indicate he rides with a pillion. On top of that, his own weight is 85kg. That should mean he will need a bit more than the recommended 42psi at the back.

Yes. Geartronic2. Useful for me when I go track. =) and it's kinda like a long term investment, when you upgrade you can transfer it to the new bike or sell as it still has market value depending on the brand and make.

Bro ram snake, any idea for our bike is it possible to totally remove the power cut? Equipment extreme owner told me it's just a snip of a wire, it's just a matter of tracing it. Currently using redrev, it is only 75% effective to me. Fastest I went with this bike was 210-215 believe or not, needle was way over the 180 mark but felt very sluggish due to the power cut. Had to up and down gear around 4 times before it hit the top speed. Any opinions or knowledge on this? Would be greatly appreciated man. Wanna push the bike to its max but am currently hindered.

bros, i really appreciate the advise that you have given to me, a newbie to S4 world. Thanks a lot.

noted, i will pump according to the kPA (apologise every time confused about PSI and kPA. Can't image how much is 270 PSI lol). However, i do have one more question. i refer to the instruction at the side of the rear tire, and stated the max kPA is only 280. in this case i can't pump to the max that you bros have recommended at 290 kPA?

Sorry, I missed this point. Yes, it's useful for track work. Once or twice I found myself using the wrong gear in certain corners. Having a gear indicator on track means it takes less time for decision making when you're charging around the track.

LOL... 210-215 is enough lah, bro. Do remember it's only a 400.

My bike still has the speed limiter so my max has been 190km/h. Tripped the limiter twice already. Quite fun... :p And yes, it still has some way to go because my revs are only at about 11.3k when hitting top speed.

I don't know how the CB400 limiter is triggered. Some are programmed into the ECU mapping whilst some use a combination of RPM/speed sensor. If Extreme Equipment people talk about just snipping a wire, then it is the latter sensor type.

Whilst I personally won't do it, I hope you be careful when you remove the limiter. It's there for a reason. Do service more often when you do those high speed runs often.

No worries, mate. It's what we're all here for...

Yes, please pump up to the max pressure indicated for the tyre. What tyres are you using, by the way? Honda recommends Z rated tyres for our bike. My BT 023 can take up to 290kPa which is the same as Honda recommends for riding with pillion.

Another factor I didn't have time to post that day is this - Revos are also sold in Australia. The caucasians are typically heavier than us Asians. So, go with 280kPa (max for you tyre), then reduced to see if it feels better for your riding.

It's ok, @StrongBow. Now you know you can't apply the same pressures for different bikes. If you come across people asking "what pressure you guys pump...", feel free to cut and paste my posts. I've seen too many people asking such general question and far more who happily give their own numbers as if it is ok for someone else to use.

I personally have not used either shop's dyno for breaking in. Racewerks have documented their work on the Revo for all to see whilst HKL has good history with track racers. I guess it's down to your personal relationship with each shop's mechs.

Oh... I heard Racewerks sold their dyno! You sure they still do dyno work? Please update us if you know otherwise.

Yes, racewerks still do have the dyno system with them. I dial up to ask for further information regarding the hard break in but was told to drop in before they could advise me.

Where did you dyno yours since you didn't use either of the shop's dyno? you did a normal break in?

Does installing Yoshi r77 increase revo's heat and decrease its power if used without a pc5? As I know it does not come with baffles like lv.

Riding lv without baffles makes the journey unpleasant while riding with baffles feel as responsive and cool as stock.

Hi... Has anyone installed a givi windshield on revo?

Bought a750 from shop as was told this fits revo but after I went home, realized it doesn't quite fit headlights bcos of the headlight bar supporting speedo and tacho.

Would anyone know if I need to mod or change the headlight so that it can fit?
