Hey guys, i find it

difficult to start my bike nowdays. Will take at least 2 cranks to start. Any factors why? Cant be batt as my lighting all look good. Rectifier, i change last 2 yrs ago. Anything that i need to consider?

Lighting good? did it flicker when you crank your bike?

It could still be batt, cos if it is old it may not store charge as well as a brand new?... how old is the batt?

 

 

 

Rectifier lifespan is about 2 years, lol...

It doesnt flickernfot battery,maybe it is rectifier? Cant be spark plugs as i just change them. Thanks for your input bro

Rectifier spoil or not can check.

use DMM. :cheer: and rev your bike to about at least 5000 rpm ++

If your voltage never go up, then rectifier sure burnt.

 

 

If starter coil your problem, then good luck liao.

Sure, can change... But if I'm not wrong its a $300 problem :faint:

Any one know If Speedo Sensor spoilt, the mileage on the LCD will still track?

 

Because my Speedo sensor spoilt, and the Trip 1 Milage keep maintain at 0km..

I tried, my main stand will scrape against the road b4 my knee. I love the convenience of a main stand for maintenance, but obviously, there is a limit to how low I can corner due to the reduced ground clearance.

 

Have you tried?

 

anyone managed to get knee down on stock rear set/footpegs??

You are lucky..i'm not riding a super 4 when it happens...it happens on my blackbird..corner too low,mainstand hits the road..lifted my rear,lowsided,rolled and i was thrown to next lane..

 

My advice is to loose the s4 mainstand before playing corners..

When u turn ur ignition on e yellow light wont go off? Bike wont start if e light when it is still lit . Im having same problem haven check yet. Only encounter twice or thrice per week.

Wow. 5 year old bike still need $10+k?

May 2005 - July 2007: Honda Phantom TA200 (FU 3*** S)

July 2007 - Dec 2016: Honda CB400 Spec III (FBB 7***X)

Dec 2016 - Aug 2017: Yamaha FZ1N (FBD 4***E)

Aug 2017 - Present: Kawasaki Z1000SX (FBF 6***B)

i have seen spec 3s with renewed coe going at 10k+ too! cheers!

 

dont see a problem with a 10k+ revo which is only 5 years old if it comes with the appropriate accessories

Today, I went to buy oil filter for my Revo at Ah Boy and was given KN-204 (K&N oil filter). When I went home to check K&N website, the filter indicated for my bike usage is KN-303!

 

Upon inspection, the filter i received was slightly shorter in length than my original Honda filter. and true enough, the specs of KN-303 is indeed slightly longer than KN-204. The thread fits though, and installs comfortably on my bike.

 

I have written to K&N support, and awaiting their reply.

 

I wonder if other owners here have similar experiences with K&N oil filters. I am worried that this may cause damage due to incompatibility issues. :dot::dot:
