I don't mean to repeat this topic, but my Spec 1 got ticking sound from engine.. I know is the shim thingy... need to fix... but don't feel like spending that kinda $...

now question is, can ride for how long more?

I've been living with it for 6 mths liao.. abt time for EO change...

so is either i change EO, or i get it fixed...

the sound only come when just start bike... and after open vtec...

if not, normal riding is very mild..

any bros out there have been living with the ticking sound for more than a year?

thanks in adv!

Do what's right, not what you think is right. =)

Dunno where you heard that from but slip-on endcans is just a one to one replacement.

It's not about the power or speed or how fast your ride goes but the time & effort spent to achieve something different

Travelled my first 150km and left half tank of ron 98 since gotten my bike last thur.

Topped up 9 litres and calculated an avg of 16.6km/l.

Is that considered quite reasonably good mileage for a run in condition?

As long as the point of fall impact rest on the bike frame. Most so call 3 point carsh bar u see commonly are all points mounted are using engine mounting points which is WRONG.

If not mistaken the diameter is 7/8

You can use those renthal bars meant for scramblers to have a wide posture which is a 1-1 replacement

Mileage improves gradually during running-in period

After running-in should get you around 20-22km/L depending on your riding pattern and route of travelling
