BBDC - Anyone Taking 2B There?

aarrgh... was at chinatown the past 2 days attending funeral.

park at an open carpark nice nice.

 

End up today morning to see my bike again, the postition abit changed. like moved before.

And I found:

 

Scratches on my headlamp

Rear left signal (orange) cover broke

Dent on my left mirror

 

Someone must have knock my bike down.

 

Damn sian.. Only gotten my bike for like 3 weeks, and all kinds of damaged had been done to my bike .. It's like whether you take care or not, someway or another someone else is going to spoil it for you ..

 

F**king demoralised.. Hesitating whether to go revamp my bike exterior or not .. With the attitude of people in SG.. do nice nice also will tio vandalised..

 

Treat it like a wear and tear thingy. Revamping is kinda waste money though

today first day ride it officially.. when i press on the rear brake i hear screeching sound. what sound is that? brake pad running out? how much does it cost to replace?

 

and where to buy those bike cover to cover the bike? how much does one cost?

part and parcel of owning a bike. sometime is other bikers accidentally hit onto the bike and cause it to fall.

cover can buy at LAB or most motorshop also got. cheap one should be around $20 only.

Shunpo...your riding life just started and you experienced so much already...for me I'm still on the safe side...see weather not good don't ride, going town also don't ride.

 

Yesterday at school parking lot after rain...my bike was blocked by another bike, totally cannot move out. Was at a loss for awhile, luckily the owner of the bike blocking me just nice come back.

 

Going to put off getting my bike checked again...due to FYP!

you want which dam to ans you? yishun or kranji dam?

 

you want atas brand or just normal one? normal one should be around $20? more atas one can be from $50-80. as for double sided tape, go home-fix buy the 3m double sided tape (red in colour 1 if i not wrong). that 1 quite strong. can tahan weather and wind, BUT not itchy hands. however, you can double secure it with cable ties or use those sticker p plate like vashie mentioned.

im not sure if ur spark rear is disk brake or drum brake (can change one). if disk brake, im quite sure can see the brake pads amount left. or u can check the brake fluid level - if "low" liaoz, means brake pad gonna botak soon.

i got one set of p plate liao. i used it for my sp last time. but it looks very old and dirty.. although its very new. cause most of the time i never put p plate on my bike one

you just took over the bike, just take note of your bike more now lor. once u feel everything ok liao, just need to do the engine oil change periodically can liao.

 

i also just change EO and nv do any other thing 1. got problem then go solve it. dont fix whatever that is not broken.

I wanna get more experience with my bike first before traveling under different conditions.

Bike was serviced the week it was passed on to me (2 weeks ago) by the friendly ex owner, so most probably have nothing serious with the bike. Just want to get it checked and ask the mechanic some things if possible. Pay the price to learn a lesson on how to maintain my bike!

This is the negative side of owning a vehicle and parking it at public places which has no security. Sooner or later, some itchy hands will land on your vehicle.

 

Some thief will be desperate enough to cut open your canvas if they really desperate to steal things, or just steal the canvas instead! It's like you padlock your IU even when you never leave your cashcard inside, they will use force to break open the lock! You can only do so much...the rest is really up to luck.

 

Few days ago came across this thread...mostly is about cashcard being forgotten and stolen, but there are cases of brakes stolen, exhaust pipe stolen...even one insignificant portion of fairing will also be stolen! The thief really is nothing to do.
