i was thinking along that line that pro taper looks really beefy... was comtemplating between pro taper and renthal...

 

plus pro taper with the easton program, has a good reputation back on cycling days. not their new contours though... that one is not tested and proven and it's cheaper by a bit.. about the same price as renthal.

 

anyone have any comments about renthal bars?

hi friend i tell you renthal is a good handle bar so many top rider also use the bar ........ why you said look like toy to you ???? and tell you renthal double wall is good but the price wat high i think cost $250+ now i use the bar for so many year high band good for off road .......:thumb:

tag metal is good... had a fall in a fast section in plentong and i think i got dragged about 10 metres on the ground with the left end of the bar on th ground... got up.. e start my bike.. rev to clear the carbs and got on.. hey Presto! bar is fine... :thumb:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ps-oh dis happens to me often in the fast section but so far the bar no bent except for rider suffers from mild concussion :giddy:

im using Brian Deegan signature bar....909...its for freestyle...its has the highest bend so far....due to my size...this is one hella comfortable bar for big size/long arms etc..lol.....btw its made from easton same as protaper....

 

 

only 3 in spore...so far heheheh :sweat:

i had my fair share of accidents and although i know pro taper is the toughest(from wat i've read) amongst most reputable handlebars but it was really damaged after my worst ever accident...the left side completely bend inwards from the triple clamps but it was a clean bend...i had a handleguard on the handle tat time so no dents juz a 60 degrees bend inwards after the fall...so i guess it depends on how u fall rather than how strong the handle bar is...my personal experience...

 

now i'm using acerbis...:thumb:

pro taper easton program bars are moreo r less tested and proven to be one of the best in the market.. it's relatively cheap as compared to renthal twinwalls... any other bars in that league?

you can try asking bmwchoy.. i think he does bring in pro taper stuff... if not there isn't anywhere else to get it.. just make sure u get the easton program one instead of the new contours. it's rumoured that the aluminum for contour is a more brittle grade.

my quote for a renthal fatbar RC bend black was around $155 sing.

it's around the price range of $150++ to $160 you can get renthal bars from ideal and chong aik.
