I can travel abt 160km for 3.3 litres of petrol. If I nv ''lu'', i can travel for 180km for 3.5 litres of petro....my bike in stock condition except I change to sports rim....my top spd is onli abt 110km+

 

i also stock condition with sports rim.. but ur FC still much better than mine.. how old is ur bike? mine FY plate.. no matter i "lu" my bike or not.. the FC is the same.. unless riding 50-60km/h.. Fc is better.. say maybe 48km per L

i change ard 2,5k-3k km..depends on individual.. u have money every 1k also can change..

eh.. how many ML's do u change for Wave S? 800ml ?? and have anyone change their carb to a Spark 135 before?

same as me.. i travel ard 70-90km/h too.. mine stock condition but dunno wat previous owner might have done.. i guess second hand bike cant compared to new bikes other people have. 180km for 3L is superb.. i wish my bike could do e same.. after all, its wave..

Actually the washer cost onli a few bucks...i bought a spare from ah boy some time back for abt $5, i think. I always diy in changin EO and dispose the used EO in the bike shop oil drum....jus being curious, wat's the username of the bike shop?

 

Last time, I use semi-syn EO but as I travel long distance, I found out that the EO left abt 100ml after 2000km so I change to full syn 15W50 and can tahan abt 4500km. I normally pour the whole bottle in. 1L

 

i tot i hinted quite obvious liao? check back.

 

btw, how often do u all change EO? every how many km?

The engine case says 800 ml but usually everyone puts 1l in.

I only change my EO only once a month (Lazy loh) - i'm the zero maintenance type.

 

So i top up 1 L, but when I empty it, only 200ml of EO flow out.

 

So what's the problem? and what exactly i need to change?

 

(No need tell me I'm a big screw up and my wave is going to DIE!, i know already, just tell me a solution) thanks.

Recommended to pour in 800-900ML... try to go and change ur EO and some bikeshop and notice that they will not finish the whole bottle but left some ard 100-200ML ... Yesterday change my EO.. was lucky to change it in time.. left about 50-100ML liao... BTW.. anyone ones to trade A Pop Domino Racing Footrest with a standard one??? Thanks!!

might be your valve seal spoilt already, got see if your exhaust got any white smoke?

Mine is FBA plate.....2 and half yr bike.....so far I try caltex, shell but I dun advise Esso as I got difficulty starting my bike with Esso petrol....try to change the airfilter periodically as I change it every 20000km. I also go tune the fuel/air mixture to get the best FC which is post by some bros in this forum.

See wat type of EO u use. I previously use mineral and semi-syn EO and can only last me 2000km (1L left abt 100-200ml when drained). Now I use full syn EO can last me 5000km

2 stroke bike and 4 stroke bike differs alot. 2 stroke bike my fren 10k km change EO. drain out the EO also same colour.. almost same like new EO. but 4 stroke when EO drain out the colour become black.. 4 stroke bike EO is bery impt..

i pump ESSO all the way. so far no problem starting bike unless cold morning or after rain. u tune the air/fuel urself? how to make sure that the air/fuel ratio is mixed correctly?

changing EO helps. used to haave the clutch plate slip feeling but after changing EO it felt much better although i think the clutch plate also habehs liao.

What's the best fully syn EO besides the ever-so-famous-no-need-to-mention MAXIMA-$22 lollar?

 

I usually buy mass then get discount (e.g. I buy 10 BOTTLEs, ori is 12 per bottle, so total i pay 90 lollar for 10 bottle (i did this twice liao, the next time was 95 lollar ten bottles))

 

Now i need to get the best cheapest longest (longevity) possible fully-syn EO?

cheap+good=make it possible.

 

Anyway if EO finish, what happen? Anybody got experience?

Last time rode my X1.. Didnt noe it was drying up.... rode at PIE towards Changi.. The bike suddenly loose power and comes back.. for about 2-3 times... ur block with be super damn hot... den next day go shop ask wats wrong.. dey say no more engine oil.. i overhauled the bike... scary!! so make sure check ur EO regularly... recently rode my wave also same.. next day check.. EO left about 50ml.. lucky...

last week saw a wave125 old model one fitted with what i think is wave x the pipe. anyone seen this? or knows where to buy and how much?

my friend did ride his wave till the EO finish. in the end, his bike broke down along the expressway. had to tow to bike shop and overhaul the bike.
