im ok.. only my poor bike got scratches and dent footrest/pillion footrest..

 

guys use good tyres especially now raining season..

I'm still using stock tyres which i think is crap.

Wanting to change to dunlop tt900.

battlax bt39 is too expensive.

 

My first skid dent my footrest, my handlebar and scratched my mirror.

Ride defensively is best answer to wet weather riding.

 

messed up my shoulder and knee...

hi mates~

i got 3 qns n hope u guys can help as i jus got my wave last 2 daes ago

 

1. todae jus went to change my wave s engine oil n plug.

but when i drain out, it oni like left 200-300ml of engine oil.

is it normal? as i seen quite alot of wave rider saying the same stuff.

 

2. the bike shop told mi to ride for 1000km den change my engine oil again.

n tell mi if the engine oil still get little den i need to overhaul my whole bike.

is it true?

 

3.they charge mi 280sgd for whole set of fairing. is it ex?

becos wave doesnt use 2t. so eat up the eo. :thirsty: check if your engine leaking.

usually ppl change eo every 1k to 1.5k depend riding style too. check 1st before overhaul.. if engine leaking and overhaul also no use mah..

where you get the fairings? quite ex.. bplus can get 230++.. lab can get 80 but not original lor..

anyone noe wave S meter inside how many bulbs? feel like changing the meter lights but lazy take out see how many bulbs to buy....lol

 

dunno. was told by a mechanic that if wanna change meter light have to take out the whole meter. unlike sparks/x1-r, they can just take out the fairing cover and change the bulb inside. thus, wave more troublesome if wanna change the meter lights.

And ****.. How many KM do u all usually change EO??? Was advised 3KM..

 

3km leh. travel abit nia need to change EO liao. :lol: I think u meant 3000km. but based on the info here, alot of waves have this tendency to "drink" EO. so i think its best to get a good, lasting EO and change around 2000km.

Ya...i change b4. heavy duty type whole set cost abt S$40. Abt 7 mths liao still haven even pull the chain once. Mine got chain cover

ya...previously i using semi-syn oil before 2000km left a bit....scary...then i invest in fully syn oil which cost abt S$20 per bottle and now can last me max 5000km!

wat EO u using?

I using Maxum4 Extra 15W50 as I travel long distance daily. 5000km is the max I had tried as I will hv frequent inspect 3500km onwards to check the quantity using the dipstick.

 

Anyone tried the OWS 900 or Motul 5100? Any feedback regarding these 2 brands? Wats mileage can it last before the EO laft abt 200-300ml?
