actually both wave r and s are analog speedo. only the mileage and fuel meter diff. wave r is analog and wave s is digital. do u mean the same way as me? if yes den sorry.. haha..

other differences might be the outlook if u compare both. internal to me is the same.. hope it helps.. correct me if i'm wrong.. just sharing..

okie thanks i didnt know it is wave r special edition. so have anyone seen this wave r special edition selling at shops? 2nd hand preferably.

drum rear brake also not bad la but i kinda like the look of having rear brake disc for wave, but i dun want to use aftermarket parts as i got not much confidence in aftermarket parts for wave.

can u go jb? if can then everything can be settled there.

tyres u can get dunlop tt900 at ard 80rm per tyre

if u want battlax then its Sgd 150 (frt and rear)at Unique motors(inclusive of installation)

to service theres the engine oil and spark plug only, and mebe to clean air filter etc. u can do this either at jb or at singapore.

some more u want to do what? change brake lines to steel braided ones? i think unique is still having a promotion for hel brakelines for cubs.

hi all wave brothers,

need your advice and suggestions on tyres for wave. last night i self skidded at bke (towards johor after mandai exit) at around 2130hrs. the road was damp. i braked, my rear wheel stopped turning but my bike skid for quite some distance. untill i cant counter control, my rear swing to the left and i landed on my shoulder. thank god, the van behind me was in quite a distance and slow. i've encountered this skid before but i ignored; thinking that the tyres are still in good condition and there's no need to change.

so, my thread now is about our safety and we believed that tyres play a big part. i was thinking of changing my tyres to battlax but the thing is, my rim width are small. the only tyre size that suits my rims are 70/90 (front) and 80/90 (rear). is there any reliable brand/model that you recommend? my mechanic recommends me to use irc (nr77) wings gold series. check out the link below. thailand made tyres. my mechanic himself tested this tyres during kallang race and also at pasir gudang. on wet/damp tarmac, the tyres grip better than most thai tyres. please share your views.

regards.

also anyone here used aftermarket airfilter b4 for their wave?

any good brands to recommend?

thanks in advance ya!

have a good day ahead.

hi bro,

i have a polini blue sponge air filter. its fits snuggly on an original carb. it has a 30 degree bent. i'm selling it and if u r interested, let me know. original price is around $60.

if you looking for a better ones, you can try to search for malossi. these 2 air filters are very different from k&n. malossi and polini are actually sponge filter which has a plastic cover over it. water and rain hardly enters unless being splashed directly. another brand is simota. simota even has led all over the filter. so when u ride at nite, yr filter glows.

hi bro,

firstly, for polini and malossi filter, u can try to get from any shop which specialized in runner or maxi-scooter. cost i tink is between $60 - $90.

my rims are 140 for front and rear. if i want to use 80/90 and 90/80, my rims need to be 160 front and 185 rear (racing boy 8 spokes sports rims is the best!). if i use any rims thinner than mentioned, the tyres will be too rounded. i will go down faster during corners.

my mech recommend to use irc gold series. its good for rainy and wet weather conditions.
