I think my steed's leaking oil. Problem is, I don't knwo where from.

The ground right in front of the rear wheel is oily. No oil right under the engine. Strange!

Are there any oil lines that run near the rear wheel?

Check your engine oil drain nut, could be loose.

Happen to mine, no more drip stain after tightening it.

Maybe you can try HKL at Alexander Industrial. Part cost and labor are very reasonable. :p

My two cents worth, if anyone is interested.....

HKL is usually cheaper, but check what brand and type they giving first.

Their service speed is also very impressive, I might say one of the fastest I have seen.

But its a bit too fast for my comfort.

Anyway take a good look at how the mechanics do their job first before patronising ANY shop.

I'm not saying they are no good, I just personally dont feel comfortable.

everyone happy ... I like them in general. Nice lively dirty workshop with cheerful staffs. :p

Yeah I agree. Friendliest mechanics I've encountered. And they come up to you the moment you step into the place. Unlikeo ther palces where the mechs usually boh hiew you.

bro, why u posting same thing on 2 different thread?

Superfour should be brighter, even if both use same bulb.

S4 headlamp has a bigger and better reflector.

To all the bros here, I'm reluctantly selling my Springer. So if anyone seriously considering this bike please let me know. It is under utilized in my stable standing next to my class 2 power cruiser. Last year alone I put less than 5K km on it. Condition of bike is excellent, always parked under cover and hardly exposed to rain. All tear'n'wear changed when due. Used mostly for relaxed weekend rides. Following are some details:

Mileage: 56K and slowly growing

Ownership: I'm 2nd owner

Road tax: end Oct 2006

Color: dark cherry

Reg year: april 1999

Extras: Küryakyn grips with throttle boss, customized seat cover, solid rear wheel cover, chrome foot pegs, etc.

Viewing can be arranged, price is neg though don't expect it to be cheap. Insurance and roadtax combined is only 200+ so if no serious buyer I'll just keep it for few more years.

nice, well mantained bike man! hmmm if the potential buyer does not want the throttle boss, i would love to have it...

It's your damn bike, wash it yourself! You rinse your own mouth after you eat, don't you?

What i normally do

1. There shoudn t be any harm topping up the coolant fully and as u said it matters only till the water overflows and flows out to the rubber hose.

Do u top up the reserve coolant itself as these two tanks are of different issues.

2.When its overflows it s full and remeber once i took out and clean up the plastic tank and is much more easiler identify the water level.

For my model there is a main and a reserve tank.

The main one is just behind the front wheel and the reserve ones are just below your seat or rather the battery but for the topping up of the reserve tank the openings are rather small but is still accessable.

Correct me if i m wrong

I suppose yours comes with a main and a sub..

Regards

Jeremy
