How's the handling of the MT-01?

It is a beauty.. just dunno the ridability of the bike.

Considering the 06 fazer1 and MT-01.

the handling of the bike is superb, it is in fact one of the top 50 handling bikes in the world! :thumb:

but when u enter corners at low speed the bike will tend to try and pull itself up.

the performance is great just twist the throttle and it pulls you like nothing you can ask neo! he tried and said it felt like a truck!haha

the bike sounds great ,looks great there is no need for any modifications.

there is no need to go above 4k rpm on that bike, changing gears at 4k rpm is more than enough, for normal riding changing at about 2.5k rpm is about just right!

do consider an mt-01, you cant compare the fz1 and mt-01 they are two very different bikes! the downside is the huge 1670cc v-twin! which means lots of money for maintanence

road tax - almost $700 per year

and the accesories also cost alot a pair of akrapovic slip-ons cost $2800 without gst, excl. carbon heat shields and muffler rings which means the slip ons will cost something like $3500, equivalent to an r1's full system by akrapovic!!

every single accesory on the bike is very expensive even oem parts!

do consider an mt-01 a joy to ride!

Saw a MT-01 at Chong aik the other day along Joo chiat rd. The malay guy was picking up his gf or wife. My friend told me the guy live around geylang serai. But yet to see the bike around Eunos or Geyland serai since.

Btw, i read in mags that Yamaha do sell upgrades like ti exhaust, headers, cams and etc....

hmm malay guy?? long hair?? if it is long hair than he is staying at old airport road there.. he is selling his bike, but if it is another malay guy than probably is his friend the number plate is 333 i nt to sure where he stays.

as for the ti end cans from yamaha, yes they do sell, but at a price...the end cans along with heat shield that is compulsary if you buy the cans will cost roughly 3.5k!!!that is a price of a freaking r1 full system!

Hmm, for me, loudness is one thing but having a nice deep and low tone is more important. I don't really like loud pipes with high pitch sound (like those SPs and KIPPS - no offence to you guys, just stating my own preference).

Anyway thanks for sharing the sound clip with us. Keep them coming!

hey guys...any idea if the MT-03 is available in sg? although most ppl will say that it looks weird...i like its concept alot.a cross between a supermoto and a road bike.i'm a 100% dirtbike/enduro kind of guy.

from the reviews i read, i think its an extremely agile road worthy XR600, a perfect street bike for me.

Hi, I am 32 years old & my insurance for MT is around S$1,500, 1st Party with AXA, quite expensive~

Road tax is S$361 for half a month.

FC have not calculate yet, don't dare to face the reality  fuel tank only holds 15 liter of petrol, fuel light will be "on" when 3 liter of petrol were left in the fuel tank, that will be safely last you for another 45km to 50km. :p

MT-01 is a good deal in Singapore, in the UK the MT-01 cost around $9,349 (around S$28,000) & in Taiwan was selling at $500,000  In Singapore the cost for one will be around S$21,500. I don't know the reason behind for such a great difference in price...

Like the foreign MT-01 verdict had said, its like riding an angry bear, not too fast but definately powerful, yet over-engineer, over-weight, over-price
