Yamaha MT-03

Its more of a compact bike to me.

power by... 660cc single cylinder with a belt final drive.

Little bro of MT-01...

i think this bike will not be popular if it was to be sold here, the bike will only appeal to a few plus for a 600cc bike, it has only 48 BHP. that's nt gonna appeal to alot of riders.

not only that but the mt-03 looks like crap!!!

and if they want to make it small at least make it a v-twin they should dedicate the "MT" name to v-twin and lots of torque!! the mt-03 is a mistake!!

If you say "only 48hp", then you're missing the entire concept of the MT bikes.

The big brother, with nearly 3 times the capacity, produces "only" 90hp.

Anyway, this bike doesn't suit our local market because of our licence class. But imagine you're new to bikes, and your licence allows you to purchase middleweight bikes such as this.

Bikes like the MT-03, Suzuki GSR600, Kawasaki ER-6 etc will appeal to new riders because they're easy to ride. :thumb:

But in Singapore, only the best, the fastest, the most powerful, the biggestetc etc appeals. Why buy a 48hp 660cc street bike when theres a 130hp 600cc Sportsbike at the same dealer?

u know hw yamaha and the other major manufacturers are. they tend to focus on the supersports market more than the other cat of bikes cos the supersports is very popular in the US market and also europe. think it's hard to spot a naked bike there then anywhere else.
