go to the insurance company of your choice

try looking for their websites online using search engines

they will provide contact numbers for u to call

:goodluck:

btw just a reminder, remember to bring along the required documents when you pay the insurance company a visit

don't go along with both hands empty~

Hmm ok, then can we apply insurance at the motordiam while at the same time doing the transferring of ownership there too right? since people buy bike from shop can also buy insurance there mah...

Will it be cheaper or no diff? And anyone knows what are the phone numbers for mitsui and ntuc, so i can get a quote... Thanks :)

hi guys, thought i'd share my experience with you. I just bought a 2nd hand bike from private owner.

I called up 3 agencies for quotes - ntuc, mitsui and axa. It'd be useful to know the age of the bike (as in what year) for quotes.

Decided to go with NTUC.

You can just call them up and provide your own details. Then you'd need the owner's IC num and bike plate number. Then they can prepare your policy for you within 2 hours.

You'll get an sms (have to give them ur hp num lah) and they'll give u a policy num. Then you can go any NTUC income branch and tell them ur policy number and you can pay and collect ur policy papers.

BTW you should have your insurance BEFORE going to LTA in Sin Ming for your transfers.

Hope this is useful.

did not know you can do that...

thanks for the info...

usually will just walkin to the NTUC branch to process on the spot cos most of the time NTUC is already the cheapest...

anyway, that are the discounts you get? (like loyalty, walkin discounts, etc?)

there's a change in NTUC insurance policy again..

my current premium is $600, but my renewal letter just arrived days agos shown i need to pay $975 due to risk factor base on rider's age range change again.

i'm 27 this year, will only get lower premium if i'm 30 yrs old and above...

previous policy i think is above 25 you will get lower premium, but dunno why they change it again, damn it man...

think i need to get quote from AXA or Mitsui...

call to ask for a quotation, from there u will know which one cheaper right?

(AXA) Anda Insurance Tel: 65542288

Mitsui (sim lim tower) Tel: 63373133

Mitsui ( Golden mile) Tel: 62965445

NTUC Tel: 67885255

call them up to ask for motorcycle quotation and you will know the answer...

btw, ask for comprehensive AND third party fire and theft quotation,

you might be surprised to see the difference between these insurance companies.

i've just renew my insurance simply by giving ntuc a call, they will post to me my insurance policy and i can choose to pay by giro or thru AXN. save the hassle of making a trip down and its the lowest quotation i got among them!

hope my info helps...

hi guys,

just to add my experience

enquire about rebel 125 insurance (3rd party) with the 3 companies

NTUC - 9846 2663 (yes, its a hp no)

superb CS. the girl call Arlin. very informative and patient. very nice voice too:sweat:

was quoted $159

Mitsui - 6337 3133

boring voice at the other end. sounds like not very interested in small and old bikes.

was quoted $136.80

AXA (Anda) - 6554 2288

ok CS. nothing to complain nor priase.

was quoted $126

Final Verdict : AXA

went and the guy attending to me is very nice and frendy, unlike the one on the phone the other day. Anyway, settled my stuff and left.

Anyway, the location of their office is in Thomson rd, near Longhouse.

wah..

thats quite low price

i had to pay $200+ for 3rd party w/ AXA for FZ plate X1 (1+yrs old)

my age: 23yrs

riding experience: 3+yrs

no claims

1st 2 yrs had the bike under my dad's name

3rd year used only my name

so i only managed to accumulate 10% NCD
