What is the refund time for NTUC insurance? I heard AXA is 1 month. Does NTUC refund if we are on the last month of the insurance. I heard AXA doesn't. Am thinking of switching to NTUC this renewal eventhough it's marginally expensive...

Another question too, NTUC refunds 85%. Wat about AXA?

Any idea wats the premium for ntuc 2nd party insurance? Last I checked with AXA they quote for me 800+ for 2nd party. And wats the cheapest insurance out there?

1. Will I be denied to renew my road tax unless i extend my insurance till 20th June 2010?

2. Or I'll need to renew my insurance before 11th June 2010 and road tax renewable is allowed.

Your road tax expiry date and insurance are 10 days apart. Since your insurance is up for renewal, you will have to top up some cash for 10 more days (11 June 2010 - 20 June 2010) + your 1 year renewal insurance for it to tally with your road tax date.

Is there a minimum age? Maybe 21? Btw, Is AXA and ANDA the same company? I think they are. If they are, I just called ANDA for quotation for wave and got $375 while NTUC offered me $366 for third party coverage. Was surprised. No claims, no NCD.

If you need to extend your insurance, you have to physically go down to any of their branches to extend. If you intend to change your current insurance company to another, you just have to go down to your preferred insurance company you want to be insured. But if you have a NCD from your current, you will need to transfer your NCD to your new preferred insurance company. I'm not sure how transfer of NCD works but I suggest you give NTUC a call to save your multiple trips. Just in case.

AXA/ANDA will give a 50%-100% of your balance if you cancel before your 8 months. After that, there will be no refund. While NTUC will refund 85% of the balance if you don't intend to continue to be insured with them, else they will return back 100% of the balance.

Sub-rider is only an "insured rider".

The owner is the "policyholder" who has the obligation to pay the premium, give instructions, receive notices, to renew the policy etc.

No, a writ of summons is the start of a claim. Ask your insurer if your case is open or closed.
