Hi Guys,

 

Just lost my Kawa Krr150 (FX Plate a week ago). Was stolen in the carpark in SG overnight.

 

Made my police report and contacted NTUC for TPFT claim notification and i was told to wait for 3 months for police investigation as a standard procedure before a official claim could be made.

 

Could anyone help answer to my below queries? Thanks.

 

If bike is found within the 3 months period but all parts/tyres are stripped?

Does the insurance company still payout or its like i need to fork out for another new bike's amount to get the bike in running condition?

 

Does anyone know de estimated amount which will be payout to me if the claim is successful?

 

Is there any way i could speed up de claim process as 3 months is a long waiting time, I do not wish to get another bike and end up with 2 bikes when my Kawa is being found.

Not too sure if trhis was asked before. I'm currently having 20% NCD. Gertting my 2nd bike and was thinking of transferring my friend's NCD to me without putting him as a rider in my policy. is this feasible? can anyone assist?

NCD must only be your name.

even if transfer to another insurance comp(buying ntuc,prevly mitsui)

they will trace back the info(prev premium) what more your name imptly.

can i know which insurance company offer the lowest premium now? i jus called up ntuc income for a quotation for honda s wave125, fba plate bike so its around 3-4yrs old bike , he quoted me 800 plus. im 20 yrs old n p plate. sounds so crazy man.

P plate will be more expensive. If NTUC quoted you that price it should be a 3PFT or comprehensive first party. For a wave i would suggest you just get 3rd party. Damn cheap. Doesnt cover fire or theft but it should only be arnd 400 if you're a p plater.

policyholder has full rights to the policy and can do anything he/she wants with it.

 

Anyway if U want to scrap...just scrap and get your premium refund...subrider doesnt come into the picture at all.

1 more thing,is there any risk of me registering my name as a SUBRIDER to a POLICYHOLDER from this forum that i just got to know? That was 1 of the choice given to me to COI his bike. Any thing that i should forsee coming?

no difference.. they will only look at the date you pass your bike license.

i was wondering if i change my bike to my father who has more then 30 years of riding exp, + myself 1half year of riding... will it be cheaper then 837 ? or u shld suggest i change insurance company... i myself feel ntuc is much x then some others..

 

any kind soul can pm me regarding this... pls thank u

insurance premium will be calculated based on whoever(either main rider or sub rider) is less experienced. i.e. in this case = you.

 

when u change insurer, they will ask u whether u have any previous claim records. so u can run but u cannot hide

usually the insurance company or whichever agent u got the insurance frm will send u a renewal reminder letter, quoting the premium u need to pay if u intend to renew w/ them.
