Any scrambler lower then xr125 will be either ksr110 and xr100 liao.

to make it easier fer u.. 4-stroke is easier to maintain den a 2-stroke..

2-stroke is definitely more powerful den 4-stroke.. more power = more petrol..

 

xr125 is 4-stroke.. kr is 2-stroke.. so do ur h/w on wat u want actually.. =)

4-stroke are close to maintenance free.. if u do da regular oil change.. shudnt be a problem.. =)

xr125 is ma ferz bike.. & itz a 2nd hand..

& so far, it never give me any probs..

i must say im a proud owner of ma bikey.. lol

Which shop?? I think ah U should pass Your 2b first. Once u get your license, I'm very sure many forumers here would gladly recommend to u any bike shops that sells 2nd hand XR125 or would try to keep a lookout for u. Currently there are not many 2nd hand XR125 and I'm very2 sure the shops won't entertain u unless you've got ur license. Maybe u should start "visiting" bike shops with your other biker friends look look see see 1st. Who knows.... once you got license you might prefer other bikes instead. Or your other biker friends might try to influence you to buy other bikes. It always happens.

seems like scramblers have a lot of myths ah.. what other myths have you heard? haha.. anyway, not all scramblers dun have key ignition.. reason why xr4 dun have ignition is because honda designed xr4 as a enduro machine, purely for offroad and then they decided to add lightings and silence it up.. .. ok dun tell me thats another myth!

i don't think you shd go to shop and buy bike... most of them when they see a new rider just carrying their brand new license cards will come out with their big parangs ready to chop ppl...

 

check out SBF or srdirtbikes.com for some good bargains once you get your license. a good buy would roughly be in the region of 2K depending on certain things like:

-condition of the bike

-COE expiry

-Age of the bike

-Model of bike (i.e. certain "brands" are more ex like KTM)

 

pls do not be kan chiong, or be pressured into buying, when looking at bikes. get a friend who knows abt bikes to follow you down and check it out with you. do not just buy the first bike that you look at just cuz you itchy to finally ride on the road.

 

also, be prepared to fork out another 900 - 1000 bucks for your insurance once you decide on your dream first ride. this is due to you being a new rider with no road experience.

n yes dont forget on top of tat set aside another 1000.... incase anithing can happen once u got ur bike... but if u r interested in a 10 year old KTM let me know but is black in colour thou.. fully rebuilt.. can comfirm dont have to set another 1k aside.. hehehe... cos $*K had be spent on it already.. hehehe... unless u fall down or wad then is ur problem lar hahahaha

if the price is right thou.... if not just keep lor.. but will be harder for me lar of cos... think got to pause a while got other commitments... n hardly can find anione to go trail with this few days ley hahaha.. oso sometimes got to do solo ride.. so have my scram around n no scram like the same ley oso nv ride "offroad".. haha waste road tax n insurance lol. but lending someone my bike for the enduro race in march... so if u after march u buy lagi better.. new tires new chain new spocket.. thou now still quite new arh hahaha... still can see the "new" tire colour lining... hehehe
