Back in the 80's.

Si Ka Teng, I dun remember any Yamaha rider there. If Bats logo got many.

Captain Kum meng & Dua Pu lei lei at Si Ka Teng 16 story. Jalan Membina are the territory of bats. Even got a car spray bat logo on it. In late 80's, many shifted to Clementi Ave 4 At blk 325 coffee shop because of En block. Got many diff bats, for exp crazy Bats ( sieow pi po ), Checkers Bats ( pi po dum), Da pi po ( Big Bats) Mo Gui Bats ( Haunted Bats ).

Wing Bats ( Pi Po Sit ) are the only odd one at Bedok North.

 

Territory of Yamaha, Tanglin Halt, Beach Rd, Toa Payoh Central, Bukit Timah Ave 7 Beauty World, Dover Rd, West Coast Hawker, Clementi Ave 2, Kallang Airport, Teck Whye, ..

Captain was Ah Khue. wheelie king was Ting Tong. Haha refresh my memory..

I think a lot of the motorsiaos in the 80's upgraded from bicycle to motorbikes.

I remember my neighbour used to cut plywood and made their own fairing design, purposely saw off the handle bar to make it very short, fix those yellow color small petrol tank and super high rear mud guard.Everynite will play buar kar tar (dougnut) at the open air carpark. Some of the motorbikes modification concept is actually taken from the bicycles.

No lar, they are from diff group. Seow Pi poo & checkers pi poo are same. But they kia with pi poo wing.

Yeah, heard from another rider here that the nicest design during 80's was Bats.During the 90's, i think thunderbird design was nice also, the black and yellow color is very contrasting. Alot of teams like to use the spade design. Mengjiang got good color combination, i think the person who design it could have done his homework and did some research, the colors are the illustration colors we normally see on the Chinese deity Kuan Gong. Actually if you look research on Chinese Opera Face mask, i think some will look quiet nice if modify the design and spray on helmet.

 

Btw do you have experience or have you spray your own design before? Last time does the motorsiaos actually use freehand to draw the outline on the helmet then spray it on, or do they actually do a paper cutout, like a stencil, then spray on it?
