Junction camera

would like to find out what are those junction little suveilance cameras for?

does it catch beating red light or speeding or just to monitor traffic and accidents along junction?

 

anybody care to share?

those my fwens records for major accidents,and also junction congestion,so that if anything happens,the traffic ATS will contact the authorities.i tink u will be spared for that one...

eh, I believe some of them are red light camera too. beat one of the red light in bedok, nothing happen. saw one rider beat red light in front of City Hall, it flash but not as bright as the "Box" type.

sorry to dig up an old thread, but just wanna know something on those red light cameras, how long into the red light will the camera flash ah? like sometimes half way through turn red but no flash

3 seconds aft red light on then will have flash. otherwise u r safe:thumb:

Coz half-way through still yellow....they have not installed yellow light camera yet.

 

To get your picture taken, you need to pass the stopping line when the light is red.

hmmmm coz this afternoon, i crossed the line 1.5-2 sec after it turned red....afternoon will still have flash?

yup. u will still be able to see a flash flashing across e junction, juz tt will not very obvious than nite time.

sianz man, lol i went back to where i was and i got confused, coz got 1 junction no cam, another has, lol i hope i crossed the red at the junction with no cam lol, if not demerit and fine very sian, poor arse

Red light camera is those with the Box type. They will take 2 photos once you pass the sensor after red. First photo to see you passing it. Second photo to see if you are still there in the junction. If 2nd photo still see you there then you are safe and no letter will go to you.... Cheers...

 

Bike i think not so easy hit the sensor. But i dunno abt nowadays. Cos as you can see the sensor is in the lane. So logically if you lane split they will not be able to sense your bike. Anyone wanna verify?

 

But bikers please dun beat the red its DAMN damgerous. Cos i always see ppl from the other side of the junction move off very early before the green light is up. So as riding school teaches us, slow down at junction.... if on 2nd arrow light still green then carry on...

 

By the way the flash produce by this machine is VERY BRIGHT... like lighting very close to you. Like god taking pictures.....
