Only-engine-run-horn like mine..

When i press horn when running i have 2 tones, 1 from aftermarket and 1 from stock

Hmm its hard to explain w/o pics.. I try to post a detail procedure of my installation wic i gt it from modernvespa site..

 

Becos our headlight will only on when engine running, our headlight is activated by a relay, so my horn relay is tap to headlight relay, so whwn headlight is on, my horn will work.. If headlight is off only my stock will sound off , aftermarket horn will be in off mode

Juz a reminder, whwn i 1st look at e pics it is very confusing for those non-diy ppl, i also very blur and took me almost 1 mth to really understand and get wrking in it..

Byt once i started everyting seems clearer to me and took me like an hour to get it done.. Unless u have some electrical knowledge and like to diy.. I wld suggest u not try diy cos it cld be hassle..

I've done in similar way for my IU but tapping directly from the pole light so that its only on when ignition is on. I went STA and they told me they don't know how to install for my bike so I've no choice but to do it myself...

I just need to know where to tap the power from... I'm going to install hella horns, radio and speakers. But wonder if the wiring for the headlamp is able to take the extra current?

ok dis is e diagram i followed.

 

my connection goes,

1) headlight relay (positive) --> AM relay post 30

2) AM relay post 87 --> AM horn positive

3) Stock horn (yellow&pink) --> AM relay post 85

4) AM post 86 --> ground/frame

 

AM = aftermarket

 

fuoco and mp3 500 relays are place differently but color is stil e same, juz find e correct colors and it wont go wrong.

Oh... So u r still using the same 12v source as the stock horn but using the headlamp 12v to activate and deactivate it...

I was thinking of using a higher current source to power my am horn to give it more umph... :)

power source is from headlamp relay, activation is horn relay.. use back stock horn button.

other place to tap i not sure, u can slowly plug out those relay to see wic 1 does it activate..

Both are H8 12v 35watt. I am running LED H8 for low beam & regular stock for Hi beam - additional driving beam is VisionX - Solstice prime SP1100.

yes, ADH is agent for vespa, gilera and paggio

 

in america, fuoco is also named as MP3 500..

mp3 125, mp3 400, and fuoco are all from same family..
