Poor PSV, they play so well last night but still lose out!

Funny the way AC Milan play during these two legs, not want i expected.

Good leh, i prefer AC milan vs Liverpool then PSV manz.

PSV is a super underdog.

:cheer:

thats an understatement man... PSV is a very good side leh... they can win 3-1 in a match over AC milan really proves something and certainly luck wasn't with them...

i prefer a milan vs liverpool match though... cos liverpool is famous for knocking out big names!!! :cheer:

I think Milan made a mistake playing too defensive. If they play normally by using Tomasson, the whole story very different. But it is also a risk.

Acutally PSV already very lucky, in fact the luckilest. On the road to semi, up till now, they faced Monaco and Lyon, all not considered strong sides. If you compared to Chelsea, they had taken on Super Barca and Bayern. AC Milan had MU and Inter. For Pool, half lucky as they faced one tie with Leverkusen, but good for them to beat Chelsea.... hahaha.... tks LVP, for keeping this Mourinho quiet.... kekeke.

I think the format of this new CL has a problem, like some coaches said. For 2 years in a roll under this format, a lot of underdogs got thru. Last time like only 10% u can get lucky. Now is more like 30 to 40 %. PSV is an example. This is a very worrying sign, as it really undermines the quality of CL. If you constantly have quality teams out and others just having to face one quality team to final, Champions lge is no longer that champion aldy.

But don't misunderstood me for calling underdogs lousy, but their success can be like 65% effort only. It is good to see some underdogs get thru, but my point is do you want teams like Ipswich and Bradford win the FA Cup just having to face one EPL side along the way?

but i think Lyon is quite a strong team to beat considering that they are the highest scoring team in CL? if i'm not wrong...

PSV played quite well this season lah... :cheeky: i think they thoroughly deserve to go this far.. if you throw Man U in their path, they'll beat them flat (this is considering the form they are in now)..

as for the FA cup, i think hardly any underdogs team are winning so far... is porto considered underdogs?

one good example would be greece!!! haha.. they were on great form and won all the big games deserving the win...

Porto is considered a super underdog, bro. And I think they very dirty to always dive.... to me, dirty is always a part of Mourinho kekeke.... a lot of pple had been talking abt it last season.

Although the underdogs can play well, sometimes a true champion may have to face a few top sides to consider good. Lyon is so-so in my opinion... don't consider MU lah... kekeke... they were a bit off. Still Lyon draw one and lost one to MU. If you add Barca and Bayern in the path of PSV and Lyon's paths, instead of Chelsea's, I really don't think the semis will be these current four liao..... Anyway, Lyon total goals came from Fernebache, Sparta Prague and Werder... not considered regulars in CL.... no high scores against the top sides.

So really, if u throw man u in PSV'S path, really don't know, cos MU was taken care of by AC. PSV form? Against Lyon and Monaco? This is Champions Lge wor.....

FA not much underdogs cos many rds... sure kenna 2 or 3 epl teams, especially MU or Arsenal. And these 2 teams are very good in FA Cup. :help:

Greece played well, but i don't think it will be 2 underdogs in a row.

So if Pool can beat Juve, Chelsea and AC to be CL champion, I have nothing to say. :goodluck: IF LIVERPOOL CAN REALLY WIN THE CL, THEN I BUY CARRAGHER'S JERSEY..... hahaha.

Chelsea stars hail awesome Carragher

Chelsea players were left awestruck by the performance of Liverpool's Jamie Carragher in the Champions League semi-final at Anfield - and claimed the England defender was so influential he must have cloned himself!

The ubiquitous Carragher blocked numerous Chelsea shots during the match - and Eidur Gudjohnsen insisted the centre-back got the vital deflection to his drive in the last minute of injury time.

The Iceland striker said: 'It was a tight angle and actually Jamie Carragher cleared it off the line.

'I controlled the ball, hit it quite well and thought it was going in, but it came off Carragher's thigh.

'I would have loved to see the net move at that moment, but it seemed that Carragher cloned himself last night. He was just about everywhere.'

Chelsea skipper John Terry hopes Carragher will now go on to lift the European Cup in the final in Istanbul.

Terry added: 'We've beaten Liverpool three times this season but they defended well both legs.

'Every shot that went on target Jamie Carragher threw himself in front of it.

'He was magnificent last night and has been all season. I'm really gutted but wish Liverpool all the best in the final.'

a tribute to carragher!!!

hmmm, something just crossed my mind, when Liverpool wins on the 25th May, it will be our 5th European Cup, that means the throphy will remain in the Anfield Trophy room, right? UEFA will make a new(replica) trophy for next season??? :D

I swear that before I breathe my last, I will visit the shrine of Anfield and pay homage to the team that is incomparable in spirit and camaraderie... today's TODAY article about "Magical Anfield" was spot-on, described my sentiments exacly!

anybody wanna MO next season's jersey??

I want ALONSO 14 :D :cheer: :cheer:

You've all probably heard some comentator say this before

"they won because they wanted it more than their opponents"

The players and the fans want it so bad that we JUST CAN"T FAIL!!! we will win... be confident of our team!!! :cheer: :cheer:

:btw: about possibly not qualifying for next season's CL.... winning it this season will more than make it up for me :D dunno about u guys though...

Imagine that some teams seem to qualify every season, but never make it to the finish line, what's the point, right? just for the TV $$$$

Liverpool is about trophys, and the tradition will resume on the 25th

A bit like Leverkusen and Real Sociedad, one season wonder??? hahahaha..... Did very well for 1 CL season.... but now.... don't think they can qualify for CL next season, cos foundation is terrible, like playing see-saw..... kekeke.

As I said, this new CL has a lot of luck factor. A simple question will answer whether I said is correct or not LOGICALLY: On your way to semi, do you want to have face the opponents of PSV, Liverpool, AC or Chelsea? I know football is a emotional game... who wants to be in the position of Chelsea and AC?

Also becos Duff and Robben out and not fully fit respectively.

And luckily, Rafa don't siao and play Pelligrino.

Tonite see who will play with Liverpool......

he is cup-tied..cant play even if he wants to...
