Would like to know what are the boots in the market and their review by those whom are wearing them....would be good if indicative price is listed as scouting for another boots soon

For a start, I used to own the

2006 Alpinestar Tech 8 from local parrallel importer at S$400

Pro

- good protection and comfortable wif the bootie. Weight is average(not light not heavy)

Con

- plastic parts disintegrate fast, less then 10 rides front crack, buckle crack. prob a batch issue as other year of manufacture no issue

hi, it all depends on yr level n type of riding dat u do. the mid level price of boots is ok 4 entry level riding. currently the best boots here r the sidi, axo, oxstar n alpinestar. since u have a pair of alpinestar u know the quality. i m using a pair of oxstar tcx pro 4 the past 2 years now n the ankle support is as good now as it was on day 1. boots r use about twice a week n have no problems at all.

2 many internet racers and not enough real racers in s g!

i use Army Boot..! =X :cheeky:

hi,guys n gals

hmmm! army boots---cheap,yes! good for hiking, jungle training, yes! but for riding off road!!!!

the amount of ankle support in a combat boots is very much lower than those found even in the entry level off road riding boots!

protect yrself by getting at least the proper protection,u don 1 2 have a small fall n twist yr ankle n spoil the day 4 every1 else? (dat is the least serious scenario! wat happen if u were 2 break part of yr ankle?)

so 2 any new trail/off road rider,do yrself a favour n get a pair of proper riding boots b4 u hit the trails!

Thanks for some feedback gathered here and from riding kakis....got my Oxstar TCX Pro2....wore it today for riding...nvr felt like robot or new boots....the flexing ankle support area is a charm.....and very comfy with the booties......I would say one of the best value for money boots around now....next let's see how long it last....hehe..if 2 yrs wearing twice per week...would have "return of investment" liao...:thumb:

my old Tech 8 from PI...only lasted 3mths and already the stitching start coming off...prob stitch too tight or wat or its too stiff so when I flex or squat down etc...the thing start giving way...I know older Tech 8 are very lasting...prob tat batch I bought got some issue which some others fella rider also kanna like me too

if my current oxtar tcx pro would be cui now.. i would consider only 3 boots now..

1. Alpinestar tech 3

2. Alpinestar Tech 10

3. Oxtar Txc proII..

Guys and gals!.. it is already been about 2 years...!!... hehe
