DIY parts pics

hi guys.. this is wat i've been up to lately.. got a rear hugger of a sports bike for cheap and started cranking up some ideas for a rear fender for my dragstar.. fender is complete now.. jus that i have yet to mount it onto the bike..

 

 

i dun have the skills to manipulate metal yet.. so all i used are epoxys and fibre putty... will be uploading more pics in time to come. for now jus bear with these pics. color i used was rj hi temp black.. turned out to be satin black. jus perfect. hahha. click on the link to view..

hmmm maybe u could make the edge a straight cut.. currently it's rather pointy right. making it straight or slightly curved at the edges would look sweet man. hmm and i wanna ask, where'd u get the brake lights from? actually these are flush brake lights right? if im not wrong, u can also cut a hole in the fender and put the lights thru it so that your fender looks flat..

which edge u tokking about?? near the brake light?? oh i left that as it is.. didnt wanna change it haha.. as for the lights.. it was a diy effort. made out of aluminium and u guessed it.. epoxy

 

i made the fender close to the tyre... i only have about 1to 1/2 inch of clearance there.. so a cut out insertion is not feasable.. water would enter easily as well... however i routed my wires underneath... and used cloth tape to tape it up.. u can see it in one of the pics.

looks like you are diy kind of person.. have you done any performance enhancement on the engine side.. really want to learn some tricks from you..

haha.. not so extreme la bro.. i'm doing a tank stretch now..meet me up if u have time. i can show u wats going on inside the carbs. my tanks out anyway.

i was the last of the 4 to reach.. i meet another guy on a custom with fairly loud exhaust.. but i think the top speed was compromise according to him.. don't get to know his name..

 

i didn't know it was yours (with the ape hanger).. 5 mins later you were gone..

if i told u wat i made it frm then u'll know its not that cool anymore.. ahaha.. anyway i'm serious about the signal lights.. there isnt even any modification to it.. its jus sticking some parts together. get back to me if u wanna do it.

next up... tank extensions... yes DIY again. quite surprisingly it was a rather simple process.. of cos i didnt weld the extensions on. they were adhered using steel epoxy, fibre putty and lots of a special glue that remains flexible when cured.

 

these are only prep pics.. more of the finished pics coming up. for now.. jus bear with it.. feel free to ask qn though. will try my best to answer.
