I also wan this bike.. But no money to "upgrade" at the moment.. Well i'm riding a Burgman400 K4 now,, so I consider a 27km/l bike to a 49km/l bike an "upgrade"... It look so nice, the BMW F650 look alike hugger and colour( Black)... and it prob won't wake too many of my neighbours up in the morning...

Hazian have u established ur reserv...One way to do it is to top up immediately when it go to reserve...The petrol pumped in should be your active petrol.....I did this and it showed 18.0something L....The .0something L is bcos it took me abt 4km to reach the petrol station.

ask urself if u need to travel more den 120km/hr and love to pick up during traffic lights with fuel consumption of 20 - 22km litre as a trade off. (not to mention insurance, rd tax, maintenance etc etc.. bear in mind, 4 cylinder bike everything times 4. eng oil, plugs.. oil filter...heh, i know ur phantom has no oil filter)

jus for the record, s4 needs 4SP+3L EO +1OF.. not EVERYTHING oso X4.

wats the maintence of a pulsar? EO+SP.

 

 

the mechcanic from Universal told me this bike in India can take 4 ppl, i was laughing away coz i had the same problem as u. im very big size too,( less den 80kg though.) so ur weight with ur pillion shldnt be an issue on this bike.

in india, u can seat 3kids+2adults on any bike.simply amazing.

if u r really into a bike as a form of transport, den Pulsar.

pulsar is v gd bike.. for transport tt is...

i read from somewhr... as a rule of thumb,its reccm to onli use 80% of ur bike top spd, so as not to stress the bike n to avoid long term ill effects.

so theoretically, s4 has a 190kmh as top...so 152kmh

pulsar top is 140kmh? so 112kmh.

ironically, pulsars top speed, i tried was 116km/hr, so based on ur so called thumb of rule... 92km/hr will be my max i shld go.

 

S4 needs 3 litres of eng oil w/o cahnge of oil filter?

 

pulsar needs 1.1 litre, no oil filter and 2 plugs

92kmh is sufficient for sgp roads... above the spd limit by 2kmh alrdi.

I've seen 3 Bajaj Pulsars already parked near my block - a red, a blue and a black 1. And seen another 2 blue ones and a black 1 zoom past me on the road near my block. Only the silver 1 has yet to be seen up close by me.

imagine the maintenance and fuel consumption is the same if not better den kups..

 

moreover, the fuel capacity is big. biek is big, heavy n hence stable

Hey does the engine's idling sound different on the Pulsar? I tried my friend's Pulsar and it sounds really weird. Like a combination between knocking and rattling. My friend doesn't really know that much about bikes but he too finds it strange.

 

Is this normal?

Hey, bike idiot here. I'm just curious if the tyres of the Pulsar is wider than Phantom's and RXZ's? I've got a thing for big fat tyres like those on Super 4 and such. I might just get this bike after I get my license! Thanks!

jus bought a pulsar last week

haf been riding on it for 400km liao

so far so gd.

was told to change my eo at 700-800km

how long do i need to run in huh?

haf been goin at 60-80km/h

veri tiring to go on this kinda speed...

jus nw so tired tat i nearly feel alseep...nearly hit kurb....phew..

when can i start to test top speed?

try not to exceed more den 80km/hr

 

after 800km u can change eng oil

 

after which u can exceed 80km/hr anytime. top i tried was 116km/hr with or w/o pillion.. same top speed.

Hi Guys, I was wondering, can sideboxes be added to the Bajaj? Will it create instabilty at around the speed limits?

i have seen pulsars with side boxes.. looks like a normal bike, not unusual at all..

 

and i tried my top speed today... 125km/hr
