Bro, I'm sure Lindavw has tried his best to make Method 1 work but to no avail. And I think he has reached a dead end.

So this is my suggestion:

If u still feel that Method 1 can work, y dun u DIY on ur bike 1st b4 the DIY session? Or meet up with Lindavw to try to solve the prob together. So if a solution is found, then it can be done for others who want the same installation method (Adriel78 & Noraachan; Blueyeagle no response yet). If still no solution, then we'll know we just have to make do with Method 2.

Frankly speaking, I dun think we can afford the time for trial & error during the DIY session.

To answer ur query, Lindavw & Paiseh will buy & prepare the materials (Lindavw for UG3; Paiseh for Ver 1 & 2). But they need to know wat & how many/much to buy. So everything must be settled & confirmed 1 wk b4 the DIY session so that they'll have enough time to buy & prepare the materials.

Hope u see my point .....

2.

How I know? Cos 2 wires were dangling out where my left rear signal light was supposed to be after it was broken by some moron at my carpark last Sat nite

Bro joajas - adding a diode is possible but u have to risk cutting ur original wires... hazard lights that I have DIYed no need to cut any original wires juz tapped from the existing.

What i conclude from tapping the fuse, battery,ERP, so on is that the signal wires go into this electrical box which is only found in UG3 is LINKED to an electrical circuit board that explains Y the current would flow to the speedo circuit. The circuit in the box is unknown cos i neva dare to open it up cos it is totally sealed. It is juz like powering on the bike, which powers on the speedo, indirectly, the signals get current. If to short the signals to do hazard lights, indirectly we r providing current to the board which indirectly provides current to the speedo n entire bike.

Im buying the DIY stuff y u need more relays?

bro spai_duhz - our signal lights have only 2 wires, 1 ground 1 live. u 1 2 change signal lights??? u need to but connector clips too. unless the new clips are the same as existing or the whole set u got to change.

bro Adriel78 - Ur diagram cannot work, cos the flasher relay has only 2 pins which are meant for +ve current. if u 1 -ve n 1 +ve the flasher cannot get current to flash.

Refer to my latest "lonewolf" diagram that is wat we are going to do.

I have put the swtich after the flasher bcos i found out that it doesnt matter if the swtich is in front or behind the flasher cos once the loop is not closed, the flasher will not be "activated".

I have tried my best to provide method 1 but thru trail n error I think is not possible... not i did not try is i tried mostly all ways to tap w/o ignition having to be ON... UG3 is a new n unique bike... opened the head, tank almost everything still couldnt find a traditional flasher relay in the bike... not so ez to get hazard lights using method 1...

The signal flashing is controlled by the box not traditional condenser.

To be able to provide method 1 hazard lights, i think some guniea pig have to operate their electrical box open and study the circuit inside first... who 1 2 volunteer??? hehehehehee...

But what i have concluded, is the ignition circuit and signal circuit have same resistant. that's explains y the current can flow in either way.

Life Is Never Fair.

Some pple slog for the paper in their wallet.

Some slog to feed the paper to the pple w/o the wallet.

bro joajas- i studied ur circuit diagram... i still dun understand y u have replaced the hazard light circuit wif a flasher relay.

IMO, to have independant hazard lights for UG3 w/o ignition to be on is still possible w/o diode but i will be ex.

Let me explain..... u need a flasher, switch, 4 relays that acts like a solenoid. we have to place the 4 solenoid relay at the pt of which the signal light original wire meets the main circuit wif a connector. using a switch tapped straight from the battery.

This is the only way i can think of w/o using diode n straight current from the battery will not leak into the main circuit. BUT THIS WAY IS NOT GOING TO BE CHEAP COS SUCH RELAYS R EX.

Im not a electrical student leh if cannot then i think cannot liaoz hahahaha

See my latest added diagram.

Bro lindavw, I will study your diagram and see how. Mean while how about you point me to exactly where to buy the stuff, so that I can try to do something this saturday night, since I am meeting my friends to help them with their cars. If I can make it work then I can share during the diy.

I suspect that eventually I might need to cut the original wires. Will have to wait until saturday then i can confirm.

So in this case, no need to buy the things for me. Just let me know which shop to get the stuffs. this will help me alot, cause if you can let me know which shop in sim lim tower to get the stuffs, it will be easier.

Hope you can help. Thanks.

To clarify one more thing. there are 2 leg on the flasher relay. when we pass 12v into the input leg, what happens at the output. Does it produce a pulse output?

The new flasher is not to replace any original flasher right? cause the blinking is not done by the flasher in the original circuit, but a black control box right?

Original no flasher relay right?

Hope i am not too confused. :giddy:

Yarr. The big bright signal lights are blocking my side boxes. Love em, but they are too... long. :S

Anyway... anyone considered putting the IU on crashbar before? Right now my tachometer is being blocked, cant tell what RPM my engine is running at. :S

Bro joajas - i cannot direct u to which exact shop to buy the stuff at SLT. Cos most of the shops sell about the same stuff. is up to u to choose. Take a walk there u will find amazing stuff lying ard in that building. hahahaha

Yes the flasher relay 2 legs will produce a pulse output... this is confirm by Bro paiseh and me.

Yes again there is no original flasher relay in the circuit the new flasher will be used independently. the original blinking of the signal lights are controlled by the box.

Study my diagram, the only way i can think of now to separate the main circuit from getting current n lighting up the signals are using a solenoid relay... whichever wires has current, the pole will be on the direction of the wire.

you are correct. when i say relay in my diagram, its all solenoid relays. those relays are the only thing that i can think also, to isolate both circuits. anyway i will get the items myself ( so dun need to buy mine) and try it out tomorrow night. then i will update the bros here on monday when i am in the office.

I dun have access to the net at home. So pardon me for the wait. Cheers
