I think so too. Only Bro spai_duhz confirmed opting for Method 2.

Bros Adriel78, NoraaChan & Blueyeagle, pls indicate by Wed whether u're opting for Method 2 or u're willing to wait for Method 1. Pls note that if u wanna wait, then u gotta liaise with Bro Joajas abt buying & preparing the materials for Method 1. If still no solution for Method 1 by Sat, then I dunno lah whether can buy & prepare the materials for Method 2 at the last minute.

Bro Joajas, I assume u'll be working on Method 1 till the end so u won't need Bro Lindavw to buy & prepare the materials for u rite? I sincerely hope u're able to come up with a solution for Method 1, man!

:goodluck:

Bros Adriel78, NoraaChan & Blueyeagle, please note that if you use the method one, you will need to cut the original wires. The original connectors for the signal light must be disconnected. the function of the connectors will be acheived using a Normally Closed Relay.

when the hazard light is not turned on, the turn signals will pass through to the lights, you will see the usual signal.

when the hazard light is turned on, the Normally Closed relay will open the circuit ( that means no more connection to the lights).

At this moment, the flashing signal will pass through the circuit and flash all 4 light together.

This method will void you warranty, unless they dun open up your bike to check electrical wirings. So if your have pass the 10k mileage, I think its ok. If not you have to consider if you are willing to take the risk.

Think of when your digital meter goes bad, thats when the mechanics might notice the wirings when changing the meter. They can say that the spoilt meter is caused by the wirings. And the meter is not cheap. This situation will only affect those bikes that are still under warranty.

The cost of this method will be higher than the other methods. The items needed are:

1. Switch (Please think of where you want to mount them, preferably somewhere that is not so obvious to the public.)

2. 2x Normally Closed Relay (I have to seen the NC relays yet, cause the shop gave me the wrong one. If it is simial to the NO one, then one relay can support 2 lights, if not then you will need 4x relays)

3. 1x Electronic Flasher Relay. ( You can choose to get those normal flasher relays, but I dun know where to get them.) (Electronic flasher are load independant, they are not affected by the load on the circuit. that means you can change to led signal lights later on, but that is not so straightforward cause you have to consider the original light circuit, they are load sensitive)

4. Wires ( I dun know how much I need yet)

By thursday, I should have the results up.

tuesday nite i working until 12am lehz....

anyway how much estimated is the NC relays?

Normal flasher relays can be bought from LAB @$5/pc

No need to open to see if the wires had been tampered with la rear signal lights connection there already can see liaoz hahahaha...

so u managed to open the head cowling? not ez ritez?

Bro, not taken out the head yet. But I have seen the mechanics take out the digital meter. From what I see, we can access the wires by pull them out from below the meter. You should have seen the wires by now.

The wires are mostly bunched in a big black cable sleeve. there is excess in length. Cause when the mech put back my meter, the wires are actually hanging outside. so what he did after putting back the meter is just stuff them back in below the meter.

I managed to take out the tank though. Damn easy. That gave me a chance to tidy up my horn wires.:p

Do you think that sim lim tower got sell those plastic connectors used by our bikes. Think I will go down have a look. If they got sell then dun need to cut the wires already.

Thanks for the info on the flasher. the electronic ones are selling for more than twice that price. but dun have to bother about load.

the solenoid relay good ones will cost more than 12 bucks. cheap ones, i think sim lim tower also have but dunno can last or not. Seriously, quality issues very difficult to say one. Have to use already then know.

Seriously, method 1 is the easiest to get it done. all u need is just an electronic flasher unit + DPDT switch + wirings + connectors. dun even need to cut original bike wirings. just add on only.

No more regrets.

selling at $15 per piece. electronic flasher. i have replaced my bike's flasher with this electronic flasher already. becoz of some mod, i need my flasher to be load independent. so now my signals flash nicely :D

For UG3, from the information given by the bros here, if you just put in the flasher signals to the lights with the ignition on, you can see the meter and some other light turning on.

What I want to acheive is to make the hazard light circuit independant. therefore i am using a relay to break the contact from the bikes circuit to the signal lights.

this way there should not be any current going back to the bikes circuit when i turn on my hazard light.

Another thing that i dun understand is the use of the DPDT switch. After thinking through, wat i will be using is just a normal on/off switch SPST.

Connectors, if can find those that our bike is using, then lagi best, dun need to cut wire already.

I have bought the electronic flasher already they are really good. can support up to 14 lights. maybe can install lights all around our bike, then when turn on hazard, our whole bike will be flashing like christmas tree

Hi Everyone,

I thought of getting a Pulsar next month. But then, I heard rumours that the bike will have some 'piston problems' after a year. Is it true?

mine exactly a yr old, mileage at 16000km +++, so far so good. but i have seen a pulsar, 16 months old, need to press electric start for almost a good whopping 7secs b4 it can start :giddy:

bro paiseh - i tried tapping straight from battery to flasher to signal lights, the entire bike can start la no need key.

Those plastic cover connectors the size is too big for the flasher pin... they only come in 1 size that's wat the shop owner told me the other time.

bro joajas - neva mind la juz try on ur bike first.... but i think head muz take out... or quite hard to reach the wires.

the connectors to our signal lights i think should have one la u go SLT look ard n ask ard lor. but the connector is too small to fit into ur relay pin.

OK...thanks paiseh.

Actually I now own an SP but then the COE expires next year. Thought of trading it for a pulsar. However it's still under installment and I wonder if you guys have any shops that would do this type of trading in?

bro viking78 - like that u muz go back to the shop ur SP still got instalment under then see if they 1 2 let u trade in ur SP n take out pulsar from their shop anot wif the interest of the SP on the new bike.

OR.

u push ur SP back to the shop that u bought it see if need to top up or got money to take back, clear ur SP then go universal get a pulsar.
