Another thing is that I saw somewhere else stating:

--> problem occurs mainly due to new riders not being accustomed to the increased stopping power of the disc-brakes

--> With the short handlebar, narrow seat, big fuel tank with knee recesses only for short riders

 

For myself, I'm standing 1.78m will it pose any problems/discomfort on riding this ride?

And, whats the increased stopping power of the disc brakes about?

orginal XJR mirror is $40/each so $80 per pair.. ex right.... and some more dun have the replica.. i waited for almost half a year to get a second hand XJR mirrors.

bro, me always want to put a light near my speedo. jus one blinking LEd bulb. the bulb will blink when i on my hazard. that also so remind me to off my hazard light before moving off..

 

can do? me wanna do lah. but me no nutz about electrical thingie. izzit possible to jus tap from my current hazard light switch.

Those looking for aftermarket mirrors, if ur luck is gd, can end up with cheapo mirrors that cost $10 +/- from LAB or Chong Aik and will work and look just as good as expensive ones.

 

FYI stock Pulsar mirrors cost $20 each

cant confirm wif that cos the pulse current that comes out from the relay may/may not light up the LED...

and the relay only gets current when the key is in "on" position.

i see what i can do about it...

cos 12V we need to wire a resistor to the LED oso or the LED will byebye.

LED quite sensitive if the resistor used is higher than require it will not light up but if lower , the LED will light up quite funny.

oh ya hor.. if forgot about LED.. so if put normal T10 bulb shouldn't be a much hassle right..

 

if easy, i gonna open the head fairing and drill a small hold jus nice for the bulb to punch thru. so from the 'dashboard' only can see the bulb only. ermm.. water sip in another thing hor.. tiny bit of silicon will do jus fine.

i actually have a T10 LED infront of speedo. not for hazard light though. it will light up only when i press brake.

 

becoz som,etimes i wan to warn the person behind me by tapping brake light but i dunno if the light lights up. so i did this brake light indicator

I was actually quite keen on getting myself a Pulsar but after asking ard my friends, they are all discouraging me on getting a Pulsar reason being:

 

- new bike not as established in SG yet compared to other brands, might be hard to get spare parts and stuff, and

- this bike have no resale value, or rather resale value that is much lower than other bikes

Point 1: so far been riding Pulsar for 1 yr plus, have no problem looking for spare parts.

ok la, seriously spare parts not a problem at all. im quite confident on this.

 

regarding resale value.. really depends on how the market moves. i recall a few months back there were around 3 - 4 pulsars on sale and so prices were pushed quite low. around $3.2k region.

 

now quite hard to find 2nd hand pulsar. so i would say 2nd hand analog version can easily fetch $3.5k. anyone interested in my bike?

in fact someone offered my brother's pulsar at $3.6k during april. but my brother was firm on $3.8k. in the end i took over his bike haha

spare parts no issue leh bro. there's always universal

but if you are looking for aftermarket parts then too bad. none at the moment (unless you DIY and mix and match like us)

 

resale value still normal. mine can still fetch around 3.4 - 3.5. The pulsar is engineered for durability. nothing fantastic in the performance though.
