as for removing the original chain guard, it dun have a full protection of your chain, from dirt, sand, rain and bla bla bla.. but it look like a kotek having one. i mean look like the electric bicycle lor..

 

and having it chain, the other way round lor.. nice nice one.. and there's alot to choose from. and also keep what ever original parts with you.. dun throw it away.

 

my bike gonna be like ah pek bike lah. now have the rear box, and now gonna have the side box too.. but the mod version of side box lah..

and bro goffrider. my bike also iam putting box but not side box and the lower fairing is goin to be my next project anyway how much u bought the fairing?? at where?

 

and the chain guard yah. iam removing the original electric bicycle looking guard and compromise long lasting chains for style. to be honest i wan to ride with style not speed

my gf also stay pasir ris but iam from cck. so my bikes is really useful in this type of situation.

 

bro if iam not wrong, since i have little bike knowledge. mainjet is like a nozzle in yr carberator which sprays fuel in for combustion. so diff mainjets have diff types of nozzle spray.

 

the carberator is where the air and fuel mixture goes thru. iam still not sure abt carberator. still learnin.

 

mayb some seasoned riders reading this thread can explain for u.

RXZ lower fairing is btw 12-15 dollars, depends on color and finishing. i bot mine at Ah Boy for 13buckz, black.. after bargaining. but u have to make some minor trim here and there.. not easy job, or ask the shop to do for you..

 

u can buy chain guard there also, but u dun have the luxury of chosing from the shelf coz u know lah Ah Boy dun display thier parts. maybe u can look around your car park for waves bike and take note of the bike model and ask the shop if they have, and bargain.

 

my next prject is to customize a bra-tank. ask the 'desker' ah pek to help me do but he say cannot. haiyoh, if only i have sewing machine, i would do meself. pr maybe i look for super4 bra and do some minor changes.

count me in also bro bro paiseh... just came back from sending home my gf. tried to push my bike again. i reached 105km/h... 5km/h more than previous attempt.

well, im able to hit 125km/hr. but the top speed isnt the issue anyway. hehe. thing is fuel consumption

 

im only able to achieve 125km/hr after I changed to an eng oil from the states. my brother bought it for me.

 

again, i mean the top speed is not impt for this bike.

wad u say is true bro paiseh top speed not important. especially in singapore roads. but my curiousity got the better of me, so i just had to try hahahaha

much smoother. by the way, though the shop says semi synthetic is good enough, i always use fully and change every 2500km. coz im planning to keep this bike for long. have to take really good care of it

wah u go malaysia eh?? bur seriously iam afraid to go there lah after reading all the cases dats been goin on.

 

u mention earliar u cant kick start. i also got that problem. den i ask my uncle who rides phantom 150. he kick 1 time can start already. u must do a quick kick down and retract back dont kick and stay. u need a fast motion down den up. den u will hear the engine start and giv it time to reach idling. 1st kick start will sound like wan to die den 3 sec later ok.

 

abt modding my bike. i change mainjet and tyres only. in the near future iam changing my grip and the chain guard. in the distant future iam wan to change the rear brakes to disc. add givi top box. the rear spring to something stronger

 

brader jeffaw any mod will increase the fuel consumption. if u particular abt FC den try not to do mod here and der. for me this is my 1st bike, and my hand itchy really itchy to mod here and der.

riding a gsxr, thinking of switching to pulsar due to my bikes high fuel consumption and my change of lifestyle...didnt expect to have to travel so much suddenly.

 

still very very unsure...cos i remember starting out wanting to ride big bikes not small bikes, somemore im just half a year away from taking my cls2.

 

but thinking about it, im currently in NS and 14 more mths to ORD and probably no income to support cls2 bike either, so maybe shd switch to smaller bike then go for the big one.

 

i really really dunno la....when i first heard of the pulsar i was laughing like mad, thinking that it must be a joke...after i realised that the mileage was true i began to smile and think- yeah its the solution to all my problems!

 

but then i started to think about my dreams when i first started riding...to ride big, fast and with style (unfortunately i obviously missed out the inconvenience of having no box and the high maintenance costs of big bikes)... and i started to have second thoughts...

 

bottomline is....my palms and my feet are beginning to sweat whenever i talk about my dream of having a hayabusa....excitement....i realised i didnt have such a feeling when i thought of the pulsar.

 

maybe i'll stick with my gsxr and upgrade....i dunno....i really dunno....what of my dreams? what of my current lifestyle?
