I'm falling in love with the specs of this bike, 50km/l.. Thats the deciding factor..

Yes, 50km/L guaranteed - provided u ride at not more than 60km/h only :cheeky:

As I read on, the problems start to crop up.. just want to know if this bike is mechanicaly sound, as in low on maintenance. I don't want to come to a point where the savings I get on fuel, I need to spend on maintenance and all.

All I can say is that my Pulsar of 1yr+ has not given me any major prob. At the end of the day, u gotta make ur own decision on wat bike to get. Just dun blame others for 'influencing' u (that's wat happened on this thread not that long ago  )

Does anyone know of anyone else looking to orfload this bike?

Lancified is selling his Pulsar. Check out the link below.

anybody gonna do the hazard lights again

I dun think there's gonna be another DIY session for hazard lights. U riding UG3? Perhaps u wanna ask Lindavw to help u with the hazard lights.

belly pan? wher to do it?

Can buy from Lim Ah Boy for $12. Installation can be done at any motortiam that can and is willing to do it for u. I bought and installed mine in JB cos LAB didn't have red RXZ belly pan at that time.

Read Pg. 106 for the name of the shop where u can order the filter from. Just like for the belly pan, installation can be done at any motortiam that can and is willing to do it for u. Few of us who ordered the filter installed it in JB.

At the moment, no plans yet for another mtg/outing. Just watch this space for the next one.

Wow.. 42 teeth sprocket? Hmm.. What does more teeth on a sprocket do? Give you more power issit? I know a bigger sprocket give you more power.

It will allow me to cruise at a lower rpm, in another words at the same rpm as now i will be able to cruise at higher speed. Or in simpler terms higher top speed. :cheeky:

i changed mine to size 39 sprocket. low end abit slow but in cruising mode... grantee t save FC.

Stock: 6200 Rpm @ 80km/h

After changing to battlax tires : 6200 Rpm @ 72km/h, At 80-100km/h, Rpm hit over the Red bar....you can feel the engine over stress...

After changing the sprocket: 6200prm @ 90+ km/h, @115km/h, Rpm just hit the red bar...

Currently our stock sprocket is 46. the higher number, the better the pickup.

bigger number the sprocket, the faster you pickup....

If i not mistaken... currently your 60-70km/h is @ 6000rpm. If you change your sprocket to lower number like mine... you will get estimate 60-70Km/h @ 4000++ rpm.
