bigger number the sprocket, the faster you pickup....

If i not mistaken... currently your 60-70km/h is @ 6000rpm. If you change your sprocket to lower number like mine... you will get estimate 60-70Km/h @ 4000++ rpm.

Bro, didn't know you using 39 teeth..:giddy: You not scared the gears overload meh. Because I tot if sprocket ratio too inclined towards top speed, stress on the gears and clutch will increase...

My perception is that, just like the bicycle, if you put the gears into the highest speed config, you need to use more leg power to pedal...

Therefore, the leg represents the clutch and gears, that means they have to work harder...

Please correct me if I am wrong. It will be good to get my concepts right.:cheeky:

Bro, please also enlighten the pulsar owners where we can get the sprocket that fits our bike.:cheeky:

Thanks in advance..

Bro pulsarbee, just for you info. The battery you buy dun need to be exactly same brand and model one.

Just make sure of the followling points.

1. If your current battery is depleted because if u have installed some equipment that draws alot of current, get a new battery that has higher ampere hour rating.

2. Get a battery that can fit into your bike.

3. Get a 12V battery.

hope this helps

for the benefit of all brudders here, check out this site for battery informationhttp://www.batterystuff.com/tutorial_battery.html

Bro pulsarbee, one more thing. Best is test the new battery first before you pay. If it does not work, then it is better to go back to Universal and ask the mech to check the fuse ad wiring harness.

Wow.. 42 teeth sprocket? Hmm.. What does more teeth on a sprocket do? Give you more power issit? I know a bigger sprocket give you more power.

is not 'power' but pick up. when u wanna change your sprocket, do change together with the front and if can with the chain too. most of the time ppl change in a set so the life span are the same. cos if u use a new sprocket and this use your old chain or visa versa, it might 'damage' your whole set. i've been thru that.

anyway i change my sprocket 16/42. and that time i post the time i

went 'racing' with an ah pek with my wife behind me. hee

th reason i change my sprocket not to gain top speed but less vibration. cos if you're crusing speed increases, meaning less vibration at higher speed.

anyway that 'racing' session if i'm not was at 115-120km/h, i have top box, side boxes and pillion. cheers.

PS: pick up speed drop a little but you must ask yourself what u NEED more? pick up power? OR higher speed, higher crusing speed, less vibration??

how many slopes are there in singapore. how often u ride up a slope.

hope this help.

those who change thier rear rims to RXZ , will have less trouble looking for sprocket size.

Bro, that means the front one you change to a new one but same number of teeth, and you change the rear one to 42 teeth and you changed the chain also.

And you mention changing the rear rim to rxz rim. That means our stock one got problem with the rxz sprocket mount right???

Can tell us where you change and how much? Thanks :cheeky:

Check your batt fluid level. if its low, just top up more distilled water inside. cheaper than buying a new batt.

Whats the largest front sprocket size that our pulsars can accomodate?

Anyways this kind of makes my point about the pulsar. It could have had the best of BOTH worlds... if it only had a 6 gear drivetrain.

Well theres getting more and more pulsar riders in singapore. If malaysia decides to bring in the pulsar... then we might have aftermarket parts to toy around with.

i'm not sure about the UG3 pulsar.. but the second generation pulsar's rear sprocket can only be mounted with Bajaj's sprocket due to the position and nunumber of nuts attacthed to the rims. so u must get the rear sprocket at agent. but the front sprocket u can use rxz sprocket.

eh the stock front sprocket is 15 or 16? i forgot. wati can remember i down by one or up by one. heee.. i use to have a Gear ratio table but dun know where izzit now. can search in the net.

those using rxz rear rims can jus find the sprocket easily, cos its yamaha rims mah. if u compare the number of nuts (sprocket) from pulsar and other bike is different.

Goof, ur Pulsar Ver2 without engine kill switch has 6 mounting holes for rear sprocket rite so that's y can't use RXZ rear sprocket? My Ver 2 with engine kill switch has 4.

RXZ rear sprocket has how many mounting holes ah?
