That one is call diaphragm (rubber that suck ur petrol)- no choice... onli UM have the part. Diaphragm wear out easily when we use higher unleaded petrol like Vpower or so.

So far i had changed 3 times already, that rubber will cost you $25.00.

if u dun change, when u moving off ur bike, u will find that the bike keep jerking, lk the petrol cannot be suck up.

the longer u ride, u find that u had to change the rubber once every 2 mths.

thanks for the info bro, well wat to do, spend again.........

I think it's time i get you guys the contact of a friend, indian uncle who has a friend imports bajaj goods every 1-2 months straight from Bangalore, Bajaj Factory.

Brake shoe (rear drum) costing $1-$3 opposed to UM's $26 n/inc GST

Clutch assembly $15 opposed to UM's $160++

Seat(whole piece) $1, imagine that.

Uncle Rajah always import the parts he needs through his friend and engage a trusted mechanic to fix them up, paying a few dollars of labour instead of so much monopoly money to UM.

I once let him know that i'd post on forum about this and he's glad to help, just book with him, he offers to pay upfront.

Rainy days try not to order pizza/kfc/macdonalds.

NTUC where got sell Motorcycle parts, lol. India parts is damn cheap. At indonesia alone SGD$2.5k can easily can a pulsar OTR + insurance. Makes no sense since like you guys said, freight passes through singapore before making their way to indonesia.

GTG now, to Mah Motorparts, gotta change my front brake pads and buy Motul Chain Clean 1 bot. UM mechanic "Uncle Lam" said my front brake pads going to finish. but it's just 6 months..

Nowadays i tend to follow James (PulsarBee R1) 's advice, can avoid going UM avoid, especially for minor servicings like change brake pads, spark plug, EO, mostly those dispensibles. Only Engine and parts no choice have to revert there. Hopefully uncle rajah's friend turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

Great!!

Now got new source of parts.

But is it ok to contact this uncle rajah directly? How to identify ourselves so that he knows how we got his contact? Hope he dun find us a nuisance.

What about shipping cost?

I need parts like brake pad, brake shoe, seat, wiring harness, clutch assembly, foot pegs (front and rear), digital meter, etc.

I just gave him a call, he said the parts can be brought here by

1. courier (3-4 days)

2. shipping (1 week)

while frequency should be in 1-3 months or so, so as to consolidate and buy at a cheaper price.

and still be very much cheaper than UM is selling.

I asked if he needs me to consolidate all the orders together or if it's okay for forumers to email him direct, and he's okay with both.

his email:

[email protected] , look for "Uncle Rajah"

and of course do identify yourself as a Bajaj Pulsar rider too.

Actually why don't you guys go and speck to the boss Johnny and get the problem solved if those guys front line staff cannot do it for you.

well done bros, why not we decide for two shipments a month, say the 1st n 15th of the month, so we consolidate all the parts n order on the 16th and 2nd of every month if needed. i think currently there r a number of us who need some spare parts. wher do u guys decide to get it fixed.?

Thanks faveTP

Brakeshoe actually i have a friend who needs to sell a spare new brakeshoe because he just switched to Suzuki GSR 400. $5.

Just now changing brakepads at Mah Motorparts, uncle asked me how much i changed my Bridgestone Battlax BT39, i told him $180 at UM, then he shocked he said he just fixed one at $150.

This new brakepad feels alittle.. how to say. does brakepads need seasoning to let it have more braking power?

sounds like damn good a plan, while i don't want him to fork out his own money for "strangers" and i don't want you guys to pay before getting the goods, i think i can help pay for small expendible parts for the first batch and see if how things goes..

Who to fix the parts, i would personally recommend Mah Motorparts as the mechanic and boss speak from decades of experience (they used to mostly deal with kups and RXKs and honda customs since 1960s) and especially when i offer to buy more products from them they discourage me and advise me to buy only what's required. So i find them trustworthy.

I guess James PulsarBee R1 would second this, as it's his own recommendation that i got to know of this shop lol.

thanks for the support bro, i suggested the two dates for the payment, as its easier for those who r short of cash in hand.

for eg.when takin order on the 15th payment shld be also in, we can put on hold for those which have not settled the payment for the 1st,tis will not delay the process of those successful ones.

since there's someone going thru the trouble for us, lets give our full support bros, i'm sure he welcomes more suggestions

ur bike ug3??

earlier model that is dtsi also include pulsar 180 with analog meter.

I remembered earlier batches of pulsar only require 40 grade. but since the dtsi model all require 50 grade.

if urs is the dtsi model, best is use 50 grade. 40 grade might be too thin.

if you are facing problem with clutch slip, difficult gear change, u might wan to consider changing to thicker oil.

Better double check with your manual. I might remember wrongly.

my bike is the latest.... just my though... since they are the importer of this bike, why are they still giving me the Xw40 type to EO... this is ridiculas.... they should know what is suitable for this bike...

Hi Wanjai,

Speak to Johnny also no use. Can he assure that the spare parts you change will not spoilt again in a few mths time?

He can't.

After a few mths time, u need to go back again to fix the same old problem.
