Bajaj Pulsar Lovers 2007

Hey guys, im really new, and i wanna know abt this bike, as for how much does it cost and whats the good and bad abt this bike. i just passed my 2b licenced, and so i'm looking at this bike. it is 180cc right?

179cc to be exact.

 

Universal Motor's price should be around $5K (everything in, excluding insurance). Authorised dealers' price could be lower.

 

U might wanna consider looking around for a 2nd-hand, 1-2 yr old ver2 Pulsar that comes with analog meter console which costs around $3K - $3.5K. Saves u $ and the headaches of digital gremlins that comes with the current UG3 version (bros riding UG3, no offence hor!).

 

And trust me, after few mths of riding 2B bike, u'll wanna get 2A licence and bike. So buying 2nd-hand 2B bike is more financially logical if u intend to upgrade to 2A bike in near future.

yo bros...my handlebar is a little dented la after kena hit and run in my carpark. you guys know anywhere else can get pulsar handlebars other than UM??? wat about sram bars(renthal,etc)?? anybody hooked it up before ....any comments??

 

Bro spai_duhz changed his handlebar to Phantom's for abt $15 if I remember correctly. Looks nicer than Pulsar's stock handlebar with it's polished chrome finish. And I bet it's cheaper too.

U always blow ur engine mah, that's y lah.

 

I still get 600+km on 15L with cruising speed of 80-85 km/h most of the time, 90 km/h tops occasionally.

requires some drilling. the folks at universal would be happy enough to do the drilling for you.

 

forget about using the stock balancers though. unless you can salvage rubber stoppers from another set of balancers and an even longer screw than the standard.

 

if you want oversized handlebars, no problem also. just be aware that you might need to change wiring if the handlebar pulls the contact points too far.

me only get 430++km now in 15L.

Average speed 90km/hr.

I usually pump at 700, and usually i got 3 litres left..

High fuel consumption may be caused by the following. choke air filter, low tire pressure, jamed brakes, excessive speeding beyond 80km/hr, untuned air and fuel setting of carubretor, heavy loads amongst many others.

 

As for me I always make sure my wheels turn smoothly before i ride because I experience disc brake jam before.

A lot has been written about this bike good and bad, just be sure you read through and decide what's best for you.

 

One thing that is confirmed good is it's Fuel consumption is one of the best(Maybe the best around, subject to individual riding style).

Hi rekkor09,

 

Yes, the circular window below the engine oil cap is for checking the EO level.

 

But 1st, you must make sure your bike is level not tilting.

 

2nd, best to check in the morning when you haven't started your bike. If not you have to wait for approx.30 to 60mins later to allow the EO to flow back to the reservoir before you do the check.

 

The level should be in the center of the window, look carefully at the right side of the circular window, there should be 2 line marker to indicate the upper and lower limit for your engine oil.

 

If you have ensured the 2 criteria are met and your EO is below the lower limit marker, you need to top up EO.

 

Are you still running in the engine or 2nd owner? If still running in, just go change your EO at UM since already black(maybe a lot of metal chips too).

Did as u told and voila....level was between the markers...think the initial check that i did was wrong cos i checked right after riding my bike...heh

I've completed my running in and changed my EO last saturday...so it gave me a panic attack when I checked the level yesterday (which apparently was the wrong way to do it)...
