2nd hand?? hmmm you bought from a bike shop? or from an individual..?

hmm can you give me tips on 2nd hand bike for pulsar...?

Gonna be a Pulsar rider too .. in 2 months time though ( hopefully ) -_-

P.S-GoofRider ... i just ask around but i still keen on your bike.. :D

err nope. actually i intend to buy from individual but my dad being more of the older generation, i guess he trust bike shop more than individual seller. i went to universal at bukit merah and i think this guy call david ask me go to another street and look for michael at seng motor. i brought it there.

i am also a newbie, not much tips to give la. must ask the rest here. or take the hardworking path, read thr all the 100+ pages which i did before so i took my tp.

prior to this, my dad never heard or seen this bike before so he dont know ma. but must admit the bike really much nicer in real life than in picture. :lovestruck: the only disadvantage is that being a 2nd hand, i cant get to choose the colour. :(

Hello to all pulsar riders...

I'm planning to get this bajaj pulsar next month. I'm hoping to get tips from all u senior riders on wat to change, what not to, what helps to improve or decrease the performance.

I would also like to know what are the typical things that i should look out for when going to shops and asking them to quote... for eg, machine + box + iu + insurance + etc... i also dunno wat else... so i need help in this too.

As of now, these are the only question that i have... i would have more in future... hehe. Anyone staying in the east ? specifically in tampines...??? maybe after getting the bike can meet up and ask questions and learn more about the bike. i've read this thread... but cannot finish.. sooooooo much to read. haha.

Thanks in advanced to all who answer my questions. Desperate for help rider here.

Hi All,

Thinking of getting a Bajaj Pulsar since I'm gonna be moving to Tampines and workplace in Jurong East. the petrol price is another factor which made me think about getting Bajaj.

I'll need some information from those who are riding this bike. had tried reading tru this thread but I find it too long and almost impossible to get the relevant information.

1) Any idea whats the price of a Bajaj Pulsar for a 28 year old with 8 years riding experience be?

2) Whats the full tank capacity, 14 litres?

3) How many spark plugs/carbs does this 4 stroker has?

4) How much Engine Oil is needed, 1 litre?

5) What are the stuffs that needs to be done during the monthly maintenance, EO change, etc ?

Hope to get some of the information from you guys.

Thanks.

Pics of the new BAJAJ PULSAR 200 DTSI

http://tekekmeong.files.wordpress.com/2007/04/bajaj-pulsar-200dtsi-step-1.jpg

Wouldn't it be nice if it comes with monoshock like the picture below, see the difference, makes one wants to drool....:thumb:

More about Pulsar 200 DTS-i

The Bajaj Pulsar 200 DTS-i’s higher sportier stance with greater chassis rear inclination is supported with some of these technologically advanced features.

* A lowered Headlamp/Fairing assembly alongwith a high tail-end, giving it an aggressive, ready to pounce stance.

* An all Stainless Steel silencer with a Aluminium muffler can for genuine sporty looks and long life.

* Large Ø 33 mm Front forks for muscular looks and to take care of the extra suspension and braking loads.

* Large Ø 260 mm front disc for strong and predictable stopping power.

* A unique Auto Switchover feature comes into play incase one of the two Headlamp filaments stops functioning.

* A unique Battery Energy Conserving feature ensures a fixed delay after 3 continuous cranks.

* All new ‘Blue tinged’ bulbs for the main headlamp and parking lamps. These emit strong ‘White’ light for a distinctive look.

* Sleek, Twin row, Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs) for the tail and brake lamp ensures “Zero Maintenance”. and a long battery life.

* Backlit, Non-Contact type, Soft-touch Handlebar Switches.

* Self-canceling Indicators that switch off when the turn has been completed and the handlebar comes to a ‘straight ahead’ position with a pre-set automatic switch off function, even if the turn has not been undertaken.

* Smooth, positive, virtually friction-free gearshift feel with new shifter assembly, an integrated over-shift preventor, and shift forks with rollers mated to a change drum.

* A Low Maintenance Battery with a unique venting valve, drastically reducing electrolyte loss and therefore reducing frequency of routine maintenance.

* Black paint theme carried over to the front fork legs, the rear shock absorbers, and the swing arm, in addition to the engine, for deadly looks.

* High performance exposed ‘O’ ring Drive chain for running in dusty conditions, providing for clean uncluttered looks and commensurate with the bikes image.

if i were you, i would rather get the 200cc than the current UG3..

hopefully the new 200cc have not much digital speedo problem lah.

if speedo spoilt and no more warranty, die liao.. must change the whole

LCD, and that cost a bomb lah. unless u can ride without seeing your speedometer...

you'll know if u ride too 'fast' on the road, cos someone 'friendly' will

smile to u and tell you too stop at the side.. haha
