The 'UG' is just part of the model name. It doesn't stand for anything. Just like 'RXZ'.

UG2 refers to ver 2 Pulsar with analog meters, while UG3 refers to ver 3 with digital meters.

If im not wrong there are slight gearbox and engine smoothness issues sorted out between the ug2 and ug3,though any-day, in a pulsar, the gearbox is not something you would want to live with.

ok... let me explain...

IN singapore.... our bike license is Divider to 3 type... 2B, 2A and class 2.

2B allow rider to ride up to 200cc bike

2A allow rider to rider up to 400cc BIke

Class 2 allow rider to rider anything above 400cc bike.

All rider must go thru 2B than wait for a year, than take 2A than another year for class 2.

NOW in singapore, there is no long NEW 2 stroke bike. all new bike is 4 STroke.

Oh ok,

i i have seen discussions about the aprilla rs125 in these forums..which is a 2stroke.....(are those all older bikes??)and how long is each liscense valid for(in india its valid upto 27years, )

2 stroke bike is consider old bike here in singapore... each bike lifespan is about 20yrs. after 20yrs, the owner can renew it 5-10 again... than after that the bike must scrap. normally owner scrap the bike after 20 yrs.

As for riding license.... License to ride a bike is for a lifetime... unless something nasty happen....

The gearbox and smoothness problems were existent up to the 1st variant of the UG2 that doesn't come with engine kill switch. These problems were not evident with the 2nd variant of the UG2 that comes with engine kill switch, tho this later variant still experiences false neutral gear and having the gear end up in neutral when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear occasionally.

Adriel, let me know when u're going to AGL again. Think I'm gonna change both my sprockets (front to RXZ and rear to supposedly Honda I-dun-know-wat-model) as well as DID gold chain at same shop where Lanzer changed his rear sprocket. Also wanna change my rear hugger-cum-chainguard at SH Motors.

But I can only go on Fri or Sat nites only hor, or eve of public hol cos work early mng on weekdays lah.

hey guys.. here's a question I always wanted to ask.. maybe someone already asked it, but I lazy to go through 146 pages worth of pulsar thread.. hehheh..

Why in the world do they prevent me from switching off my front lights? I heard rumours about electrical problems but nothing specific.. the screw on my handlebar looks pretty ugly man....

And anybody fixed a Super4 belly pan (you know, the cowling under the engine) on your pulsar? I saw this malay bro who did it and it looked pretty sweet.. did you do it urself or did a mech fix it for you?

Preventing u from switching off the headlight is to prevent u from going against the law. U can take out the screw if u dun really like it. It will not cause any problem with the electrics.

next time i sure want to drive a dirty rusty beat up old truck.. then paint on the tail-board.. I have claimed insurance on 99 tail-gaters. Are you the 100th? :cheeky:

That not pychology.... STOCK tires are indeed slippery. when come to wet road... u better pray hard that u dun do any hard braking or e-brake... Stock tires is made of nylon are extreme durable, but not suitable for singapore road... if u want... change to battlelax which is rubber. but con is that battlelax tend to wear out easily... but in the name of safety... i rather not save. I now looking at IRC tires. somehow or rather cheap.
