Amazing! U are one patient rider, salute u for that!

Guys, wanna ask u something, what is the most ideal rpm when idling? I mean, when ur bike is at nuetral? Mine is at 1.5 rpm, is that ok? Or can i go lower than that? Can we adjust the timing and where to adjust?

Rafa>> no wonder u go there often.. u stay in woodlands sia..

i also go there often.. buy dvd, top up, me dun smoke, buy Burger Ramlee, wash bike but this few weeks no lah.. coz always rain.. jus now price for V-power still same RM2.15.

so looks like all of us stay far apart.. north south east(no) west.. ermm.. we shall see where Jeff stay at..

Wah, v-power so expensive ah? How's the bike performance using v-power bro? Last nite i go jb and for a change from caltex gold, i top up Mobil F1, 1 litre RM$1.92 i think. See how it goes, next top up will try v-power. Heard petronas is also good petrol, any comments?

expensive meh??

RM2.15-RM1.92= RM0.23

how much only RM0.23 convert to SingDollars..

only 10cents.. so every 15litre to pump, u only top up $1.50 only

and Shell petrol is a good quality petrol. i dun know lah, i trsut shell.

and yes me use to use clatex and esso.. but i can feel the diff after switching

to V-power.

there is this knob beneath the tank on the left side of the bike. very obvious. u can adjust ur idling there.

to adjust idling, ur bike must be hot. So, it is best to adjust after a 20min long travel. den adjust to roughly 1.1k rpm will do though 1.5krpm is normal in fact.

advantage: u will realise u get better fuel consumption.

disadvantage: while warming up, idling is just a mere 500, coz very cold, so u haf to pull the throttle, if not choke.

No more regrets.

have u guys heard before.. i dun know its rumours or for real. end of this year, Bajaj coming out with a 225cc bike.. and its gonna be 108km/litre.

it may sound stoopid and impossible.. but i dun know.

at first ppl didn't believe that Pulsar can reach 50km/l until they see for themselves..

heard this from Bajaj agent

anyway if there is such a model coming out.. i sure gonna get it! class 2A

Hi

You guys seem to be pro-bajaj.

A fren of mine is going to buy a bike that gives gd mileage. I recommended Bajaj but he's a bit reluctant cos the bike is new in SG. He's worried that maintanence might be high since parts might be rare.

I have read through some forum and reviews seemed to be gd. The bike is too new to have developed problems.

any comments from current bajaj riders regarding maintanence or problems faced?

Even the most precious of memories fade with the passage of time

i know bajaj owners r very happy with fc but just a word tat needed to be mentioned.

running lean and very lean fc, the con is burnt exhaust valves.

this is very well known 2 every trained mech exclude those err i can't say it.

best carb setup is.......read it up more, u find a lot articles on webbies.

best fuel/air mixture is 12~15 part air to 1 part fuel or actually recommended 14.7(air)/1(fuel).

u can't get exact mixture on carb but can be easily programmed on EFI.

take care, u be happy with it now but later with regrets.

btw,

Bajaj coming out with a 225cc bike.. and its gonna be 108km/litre.

this is done under 50 kph, all manufacturers' claim on fc travelled 50 kph or under.

there r competition about 1 litre per 100km so far on very few have done it.

it is near impossible for a non-modified/weight saving bike to achieve this kind of fc.

i've done alot of comparison about bike maintence and repair.. and Bajaj maintenace is very low. it been proven and shown and this bike has been test ride on India road.. for a bike than gone thru that kinda 'road' singapore road is nothing to 'him'.

tell your fren to join us here and may ask any questions and this guys over here willing to help your fren out.

Stsoh>> hey bro, about what u said.. its true that most bike tested at 50kph.. no doubt about it.

and thats what ppl say about Pulsar also at first.. but now.. look at the fact.

Bro paiseh ride at 70km/h and now he clock at 53km/l..

myself btw 85-100km/l and i clock at 46km/l..

ppl who ride pulsar are not who like to brag about how cool it looks or how fast it can go.. we only concern about good FC and low maintence..

i'm not bragging it about bajaj technology.. it may sound impossible.. but we dun know.. i dun know.. thats why i awaits for the bike to be out and tested.

cheers.

i do not know about bajaj technology.

if their carb setting running perfectly at 15(air)/1(fuel) mixture thru-out rpm range,

then they have done a superb job.

but i do know this, tat all manufacturer set fuel mixture lean to meet global environment standards.

well, its getting abit too technical

anyway, i travelled 40% of the time 80km/hr. 40% 70km/hr and 20% 60-70km/hr to chieve a 53.11km/litre result. :D

No more regrets.
