paiseh: yup I guess so since universal is the main dealer for pulsar. Hai never mind lor coz I don't wan to travel all the way down to bukit merah just to pay the installment. I stay yishun my camp also in yishun so no pt lor. not much diff in price also.

 

Anyway guys what tyres u all got? I realised that I'll be getting a tubed tyre... not very pleased with that. Any good recommended tubeless tyres to intro? I only remember battlax and TT900.

stock tyres are not tubeless. we have to change it ourselves. but i intend to change it only when the stock tyres are botak. coz i dun travel fast and mostly expressway travelling. so chance of it ..... will be low (i hope)

Bro Lanc, nothing to worry, i got mine from Soon Hin too, taukeh David right. That time also told me 2 days time but never call me on that day. So, i took the initiative to call them instead and when i called, yes, its ready, its just that they're busy and forget to call. I got my bike for around your price too but cheaper a bit cause maybe my insurance cheaper due to my ah lau age, hehehe! Call them! Run it in! Happy riding!

true.... if u do alot of changes especially with the main look like spray the body, the value will drop if u wanna sell to shop..

 

but if u plan to keep for long, than do whatever u like lor..

Hey bros,

 

Got my black pulsar today. looks really dam chio

Very happy with my new ride. However there's some gearing problems that I've experienced in my 1st 50km

 

Whenever I downshift, esp. from 3rd to 2nd, I can hear the 'crashing' of the gears. Is this slipping? Rather worried that it will damage the gearbox.

 

The other problem is the more commonly seen: The bike vibrates rather strongly when moving off in 1st gear. giving me a hella of problems when doing a sharp u-turn in carparks.

 

Any remedies for the above problems?

 

Anyone interested in an outing to JB sometime? I haven't been there since my license was revoked 1.5yrs ago. feel like going there got cigs and petrol but I can't remember the directions there already.

brader jeffaw... i change nothing much lah... my chain guard is actually lime yellow. i change grip and balancer. abt the balancer i bought at LAB is lighter then original bajaj balancer. lighter meanin my handle bar vibrates more.

 

brader lancified... i tink if u ask all the braders who ride new bajaj we all have abt the same problem. clutch and gear rattling when in low gear. my bike after runnin in have less of the problem but still occurs from time to time. if there are problem den we will have to wait and see...

 

i just bought 2 bottles of engine oil from brader paiseh.. meet him just now at holland v... very nice brader friendly even give me tips abt engine oil. 2morow i will change oil and see if it fits my bike and riding style.

I have this problem too. esp when 3rd to 2nd gear, the crashing sound is quite disturbing. i have asked many mechanics abt it, they told me i was on high gear and low speed, meaning not enough power, thus the crashing sound.

 

I totally disagreed with this coz i know this is not the reason. the only mech i trust is the mech employed at universal showroom. i salute him. he test rode my bike, checked everything in out, and found out it is the chain the hits the chain guard.

 

this is when u release the clutch, the clucth plate somehow not smooth, causing the chain to vibrate so violently tat it hits the chain guard. after 8000km++, this problem lessened alot. maybe u could run in first and feedback?

 

so far u and me are the only one who complained of such problem. i had 2 frens who is riding the same bike as me, not from forum, they dun haf such problem. maybe different bike has diff characteristics.

Yep, i used to have this problem oso. Don worry, by ur second running in. no problem liao.

 

Take note, maybe at tis point of time u maybe face problem which kickin to first gear wen u change to neutral.
