road tax u renew together with your insurance...

 

check the date when your road tax end.. deepend your road tax is for half a month or 1 year

roas tax coupon and importantly a letter as a proof that your bike is under an insurance.. so always keep it in your wallet..

 

in case TP 'tahan' you.. they ask for your insurance, u jus show.. if u dun have with you.. very leceh.. your particualr is taken down than must show to the nearest police station.

THE POLE LIGHTS im talking abt is the 2 small bulbs on the left/right of the headlight. those are using T10 connectors. am selling at $9 per pair, not per LED available in white and blue. advantages of the LED im selling is that it is bright and and wide angle. a single (quite big) LED in one platform. can fit our bikes nicely. we can haf a DIY session to fix it on

 

abt white headlights, it has been updated in LTA website. now all white lights are legal so long as the bulb is rated the same as our stock bulbs. check it out here.

our Bulbs are rated 12V 35/35watt. meaning lo beam 35watt, hi beam 35watt. theorectically, both same brightness.

 

i have changed my bulb to a H4 12V 55/60watt. lo beam 55watt, hi beam 60watt. the color is bluish white but for some reasons (i duno y) it is not bright at all. if we could changed our bulb to crystal white 35/35watt rated, den it will be bright and white. anyway, using a higher rated wattage bulb means more heat produced. hecne the need to change the socket. anyway, i removed the pole lights and the white bulbs already.

 

i installed HID onto my bike instead.

rd tax coupon is to be placed on bike all the time. insurance, u haf to bring along all the time as well

actually, it will be a good practice to bring ur photocopied insurance instead of original all the time. rain or watever, just photocopy another one.

Does it take long to hit 100km/h on the meter?

 

How often and where do you guys go for servicing?

easy to install. but troublesome. need to take out the head crowl of the bike. den after tat. just pluck out the original T10 small bulbs. replace with the LED will do

brader ta150 2stroke not bad right?? y wanna let go? ta150 honda sp engine. can beat bajaj pulsar in terms of pick up and top end speed.

 

but if u wan to convert to bajaj pulsar we have no problem hehehe. bajaj pulsar is a relax jack bike. famous for fuel effciency. perfect for sillypore road. cheap maintenace no 2t.

wow... 200km before reserves... i tink it normal for 2 stroke bike like yrs.

 

my bike 600km before reserve thats 15litres.. and its below average for bajaj pulsar standards. if u ask our braders here some even hit 700++km.

 

since this is my 1st bike. i cant really compare the pick up. but in terms of power, dont worry. i weight 110kg including my gf 70kg dats 180kg can go up carpark slope pretty steep.

 

sitting position like rxk, very relax. bike very stable probably same as ta150

my bike enters reserve at 730 - 750km. there was once when my bike enter reserve at 870km.. of course i ride slowly la. hahah

 

waadee: the HID H4 set costs $240 include installation. hmm.. its quite ex. so if u dun need the brightness dun put HID. our stock headlight is actually very bright. just tat its yellow color only. i have never rode my bike with the stock headlights b4 except when i collect my bike

when i first bought the HID and fix it myself was $280

 

no crystal white bulbs fit our bikes legally and safely.

 

if u wan can try the crystal white H4 bulbs that im selling. but it is not going to work for our bikes. white but not bright. it works perfectly on bikes like super 4 and R1 00- 02 etc etc... can click on my signature for more details.

abt mods that u asked

rear dics brakes: i asked ard i tink it would cos us abt $400++ (correct me if iam wrong with the figure) can be done either here or malaysia. just a question of good workmanship. i dont mind paying a bit more if iam guaranted that the workmanship is top notch.

 

tyres: iam using bridgestone battlax bt-39 size 80/90 for front and 110/90 for rear. this are sport tyres meant for cornering but i dont do much cornering and the tyres do provide good handling better than the stock tyres.

 

rims: my rims are still original. just that i tape reflective yellow tape to make it more nicer looking

 

belly pan: thats an rxz belly pan, modded to fix onto our bajaj. the pan had to be trim to fit and it was nice at 1st to me but it became and eyesore so i removed it.

 

respraying: i tot of this but iam not sure wad design to spray onto my bike. iam playing with 2 colours blue and yellow.

 

i also change the original grip to keiti brand grip. also i did mod the carburetor abit, i dont advice you to do this becos its going to increase the fuel consumption.

 

things i look forward to are better performance carburetor, K&n filter and full exhaust system. this will give bajaj pulsar a notch up on performance.

Its been a quite sometime already but glad that there quite a number of us riding pulsar around.Yup u guys are quite active in the forum from all the previous post that i had read.

Have anyone asked at universal how much it cost to have the drum brake changed to

disc brake?i assume that what waadee quote is not from universal?

How much did u change for both?

Hoping to get some estimation of the price so that once my stock tyre wears off,im changing it.

Belly Pan:

The one that u had sure is nice to look in the picture but from the inconvinence u had,hope that someone tried other belly pan.

Maybe it was during running in?

On personal note my 4th gear im riding at 60-70km/hr,i will change to 5th gear before

going above 80km/hr.

In terms of brightness unit, our stock bulb produces abt 1350lumens. HID produces over 4000lumens yet it consumes only 35watt of power, same as stock. of course, the price is high to pay. illegal and expensive but i have a way to avoid illegal issues
