Things to modify on a pulsar for those who are interested

 

-smaller tyres compare to the stock

-potting of piston

-modifying the exhaust/or better still aftermarket exhaust

-spoky rims instead of sport rims

-lighter and more durable chains

-down 1 size for the front sprocket,up 2 tooth for the rear sprocket

-Iridium spark plugs

-Ngk racing spark plug holder or other brands

-power abuser 2 and grounding wires

-no box installed

-fast throttle

-aftermarket air filter

-fully synth oil

-racing CDI

-aftermarket lighter weight handle bar

 

all these mods is for performance(MODIFY IT AT YOUR OWN RISKS)haha

Hi Guys, I went to bike shops in BT merah to look for SP4 2 days back. Found quite a number of 2nd hand Pulsers in those shops. I asked the shop machanics and they told me that the riders have upgraded. Well that don`t sounds well to me. This being a new bike here in SG, say about a year and a half only. But I just don`t wanna ask too much also. I could sense from the body language of those machanics. I was also told by some guys from india that the Tank design is a a risk for male riders.

Hmmm nvr try b4 by pushing front/back to shift the struck neutral gear to 1st gear. mayb will try it when i got struck again. A few times i didi try to kick up gear but its very hard or impossible to kick up as it is like locked ... so i keep stepping on it hoping it can change to gear 1 without causing an obstruction ... but sometimes it did turn out to b an obstruction after trafic light turn green n i am still in neutral.

 

My milage goin to hit 2k soon. Keep trying to keep my distance per ltr longer but seems hard as i been using 70-75km/h more often than b4. cause using more expressway than b4, n riding at 75km/h is still a bit danger to me cause of the overtaking of big size vehicle ... nvr horn at them even thought sometimes ireally wish i did ... overtake beside me so close n sometimes without knowing it ... so when saw them abit shock. If at normal road i not worry horning them cause i always at the extreme left lane at the required speed so dont think i am in the wrong even thought i mayb at 60km/h which most road i travel is the speed limit.... Ok tats all i got to share for my 2 months on the road ... goin oversea soon ... hope my puslar will b around when i am bck lol

hm... looks like 2nd hand pulsar can only be found in bike shops...

just broke my right mirror just now ... where can i get 1 for replacement on Sunday ... think the service center have any for me to purchase ? Cause goin servicing tomorrow

hmmm interesting...but i doubt la... almost every bike has part of the tank in between our legs, up our crotch... if u r scared wear the balls guard, the one they use for martial arts or contact sports..heh

wat happened? i'm sure the service centre has it.. i havent tried fixing rxz'z side mirror.. but i think the size of the nuts are the same. correct me if i'm wrong

just finsih work so no energy ... bike fall when trying to get the main stand off after top up of petrol ... well most type of bikes also got ppl steal their parts or the whole bike ... so worry also no use

i see. be more careful bro. bout the mirror i'm sure service centre has it. not to worry. jus be careful riding to the place cos u cant see oncoming traffic from the right. keep turning ur head back can be tiring..lol i noe cos i tried dat. my previous bike got no side mirrors at all.

tks for the advice ... so sad today sunday dont think they are open else its best i go today less traffic i assume as most ppl are either at home or outside ... well quite not used to having to depand on 1 mirror onli on the way bck home just now.

im looking ard for type 4 alarm for my bike. do u think if i fixed it on, my warranty will be void??? or maybe can i even ask the mecs at universal to help me put it on even?? ahakz....

yes u can. reducing the size of the rear sproc and increase the front sproc; u r able to cruise at a lower rpm.

 

abt attaining hihgher speed, i dun tink its possible

Perhaps true. But dun forget that there're also Cls 2A/2 bikers who have downgraded to the Pulsar or got it as a second bike.

wat they mean by sprocket ratio is u divide e no of rear teeth by e no of front teeth...e bigger e ratio number e better pick up but lower top speed n vice versa.....i suggest if u wanna a so called faster top speed...jus increase ur front teeth by 1 ...like example..usually stock is 15...u jus increase to 16...n see if there is any difference...but beware...ur pick up may suffer a bit....also dont change e no of ur rear sprocket teeths at e same time.. ..coz it only works if u change either front or back no of teeth.....anyways if u do wanna change jus ur rear teeth...change like difference of 3 teeths for rear....example if ur stock is 45..change either to 42 for higher top speed but not so good pick up or 48 for e other alternative....cheers...hope this helps
