Transfer/Cancel Insurace, buying new bike

Hi, need to ask a question. I still have a motor insurance for my current bike that is in effect. When I trade in my bike for new one, will insurance (NTUC) refund me the prorated amount leftover when I cancel the insurance and buy another one for the new bike?

 

Also will NCD transfer over as well?

 

Is it possible to process all this online or must call in? Because my bike all these years is only buy and renew so I could do it online entirely.

Find it funny why people would ask over the forum instead of calling the insurance company.

 

They will transfer over the NCD.

You will get a pro rated amount back.

 

You can try asking to offset ur new insurance if it can be computed immediately but

Its abit tacky as the bikeshop will want to do it insurance for you for commission.

 

Dont be surprised of your bikeshop admin charges if you were to get your own insurance

It's a pretty simple process.

For NTUC you can do it over the phone, whereas for some other companies you have to go down physically.

 

All the same, it can be easily done.
