anyone knows why msn email account need to key in your password twice even if had got your first one right?

it will always prompt me:

The e-mail address or password is incorrect. Please try again.

 

anyway to rectify?

Both are the same thing and utilises the same unified Username and Password.

 

Where are you seeing this problem? When logging into Hotmail? or MSN Messenger?

clear your cache? also take note of websites which requires your password and id. Look at the URL that you've been linked to, sometimes it could be some fake webs that you have been hyperlinked to, to obtain your user info

nothing works...guess got to live with it.

can't get help from hotmail or msn site too.

I've had problems with this in the past too...keyed in my Hotmail address as my username, and password -- but it will keep on stating that the username/password is incorrect.

 

I won't be quick to blame M$ for this but it seems that the problem lies on their side...

 

What happens if you change browsers (eg. instead of IE, use Firefox)?

the problem happened in firefox..IE is fine..

but that was years ago and the problem seemed to occur once every long period of time.

Now using GMail.

I found it a hassle to have many email accounts and stuck to hotmail. Hmm still I think its the cache thing. Try setting down your internet security settings TS.

will try..but dun really bothers me..just have to key in the password twice and carry on with it...

i had this prob too. totally cannot log in to my msn.. somemore was auto login all this while. best part is i cant log in to my hotmail email too. tried for days...no help from msn/hotmail. and also the forget pword didnt work too. in the end just abandoned that account. totally pissed me off lor..contacts all gone like tat.

Hmm...hotmail's pretty quirky these days eh?

It's about due time somebody complained about this, now that other offerings are pretty decent, namely Y! and "G".
