how high heat it can dissipate? will it crack our inner lens after prolong usage?

 

HIDs produce less heat vs halogens, hence casted beam within the assembly (reflector type) is much lower.

 

The only worry are projectors as they cast different converging/diverging beam AFTER the reflectors behind the projector lens ONTO the final polycarbonate exterior lens

For every HID lights, there's a little stick accompany with the bulb, may i knoe wat's it for? Wat if there's a crack? Will it not work? Can it be replaced?

It is a protective sleeving - guess if yr HID bulb still lights up then all is well. Pls dun touch the naked wire if the sleeving is cracked or broken - veri high wolatge goess thru there to ignite the bulb. Dun think u can repair it but u can buy another HID bulb to replace it. i try to install a HS HIDs onto my honda wave125, but then it was a failure cos the bulb flicker like crazy. Scare it will damage the ballast & bulb, so in the end dismantle it, Anybody here successfully install onto wave or smaller bikes?

me.................... wat system r u using ?? i think u hv seen our Zoomlite system right ? we hv installed the HS-H6M HIDs to a few 2B bikes so far so good ley ................

Mr. Cheeko.......... pls try to built a relay to yr HID system ............. I believe most 2B bikes dun hv enuff starting amps to fire up a HID system....

anyone had any problems with rectifer and battery after fitting??? I've been using it for almost a yr without any problems, but when i dismantle it and fix on my friend's one, his rectifer and battery gone case..

well pls check how old is his rectifer and battery - maybe almost time leow .... plus HID systems do need more starting amps to ignite ( 10.2amps) then drop to 3.2amps to light up lower than a Halogen ( 6.5amps constant).

I also noticed when riders hv problem with HIDs system is when they switch bike & try to install the HID to the another bike. Seems like during the switch the HID was not install properly or the bike electrical system not efficient.

hid is the whole package with ballast is it? Got hid bulbs that you just fix into the socket? I m planning to get some from you. But after this busy month .. keke

Errrrrrrrrr wat do u mean ? HIDs system comes as a set of 1 ballast & Bulb, they are all PnP..... All correct HIDs bulb will fit into their recpective lamp casing.... cheers

Hmmmmmm i tot most 2b lightings are flickering during idling right? HIDs lights should not flicker at all - pls check all yr HID connections. Does it flickers when u open the throttle ??

i thought kup kias are all like tat. When u rev, then it will light up. If not, it will flicker like nobody business.

yes, when rev up no problem. But example during idling it will flicker. For cheap HS halogen bulb its ok, but HIDs ballast/bulb is too costly for me to let it flicker. The sound is damn scary,machiam like electrical arcing sound. lan lan have to dismantle it for the time being

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee sounds damm scary...............sia.......... BTW HID systems are not design to flicker .... maybe the set have problems.......... If U free show me the set can ?

It will not help if the ballast hv a problem - this we encounter b4 so we jus change the ballast & all is well.....................
