its true that on the road, scrams are unsafe due to 1) high centre of gravity

2) offroad tyres that offer less grip on tarmac.

However it can be argued that scrams have higher visibility due to size and height. Once again it boils down to the rider. i know my ktm is unsafe on roads, so i go much slower and keep in the centre of the lane. i seldom lane split nor do i corner fast.

get whatever bike u fancy. pls ride safe and dun be impatient. try not to lane split and always slow down at junctions and do check that no cars are trying to beat the lights.

and if u know u like the feeling of speed, get an SP. u can speed on the eway and corner like a daredevil. a scram is meant to be ridden hard off road. if u ride a scram hard like a SP on the roads, u are bound to buang many more times than u would have buanged on a SP.

Riding on the road is already considered dangerous. Doesn't matter what kind of bike it is. As long as you ride safely and always keep checking your mirror for idiotic drivers who always find bikers their prey. But seriously I dunnoe if you should get a scrambler since you just got your license. Why not get a bike to boost up your road confidence first? Jus my thoughts. Peace...

elton which part isnt true? lol. if u ride exactly the same way u would on 2 different bikes, i would say u would be more likely to self skid and buang on a scram with offroad tyres then lets say a SP. this is comparing only bike characteristics assuming u would ride the same way, and not external factors like other road users, road conditions etc etc.

corner, sp more safe.

eway at higher speed, sp more stable.

braking distance, sp stops in shorter distance without fishtailing.

vantage point and visibility to other road users, scram win lor hehe
