Hey guys,

 

i just got a ST200 and i wash my bike earlier on and now i cant start it.

 

Anybody can help me with this or i need to push to bike shop le?

When u say u cant start ur bike....do u mean it doesnt even crank? Or is it stil, but just not starting up?

i just press my bike break and start button and i only hear the e-start sound. cant start the engine.

U mean brake right? So it is cranking, jus not startin up...well...u jus bought ur ST right? Have it towed as its stil gonna be under warranty. Am i right...?!?

yoz bro...is ur bike still stock?did u change anitin yet..? it happen to me thrice, 1st n 2nd is after a heavy rain and 3rd after bike wash.. but that point of time i change my pipe n air filter..the reason tat i can tink of is my air filter is wet..that y cant start..if still cnt start, den send it to piaggio since ur still under warranty( less than 10000km n less than one year) whichever come 1st..

TS, Sorry to hijack this thread for awhile. I have a few questions before i commit into a bike, btw i have just got my licence so i'm very new to biking.

As i was comparing Scramblers (KTM) or Scooter (Only Gilera)

i think there are several model of Gilera Runner? correct me if i'm wrong,

 

1. which are the model and differences.

2. How much for each model? be it new or 2nd-hand

3. How much will i need to pay in order to maintain the bike (Monthly) inclusive of petrol?

4. Will it be o.k for daily and frequent usage?

5. What to look out for (common problems) when buying a 2nd-hand Gilera?

6 Which Shop will you recommend?

 

Will really really appreciate all you bros' help.

hey peeps. finally after soo long.. i got me-self a fricking 2nd hand gileraaaaa... soo darn happy. will be collecting on monday.

 

looking at bro suede's post, i feel great knowing that there's always someone at the end of the line. hahaha..

 

usually after how many click do we need to change EO? or oil filter or full service? pls advise.

Every 1 month change EO.

Every 3 month change oil filter and plug. If got money roller also.

Every 6 month wash ur air filter. If no money change ur roller now. Check ur back tyre, most likely becoming botak already.

Every year flush ur radiator n change coolant. Brakepads also gone by this time i reckon. Want to service carb also go ahead.

Every 15000KM change belt or whenever u feel da slack.

 

This was taken from thread gilera st 200.

As for full service depends on individual but according to my botak mechanic he stated that if use stock items around 15000 to 18000. If beside stock items im not too sure bro i always use stock items according to botak's consultation.

Just got my ride today too. And guess what? my Speedo died off shortly!! Dunno why! Not clocking any milage now. And basically my ride has " Cruise Control" The grip is tight then when I throttle it stays there.

 

Darn! Will go back to the shop tomorrow.

alamak bro.. you betta go back to check man.. even i did a thorough check still got faulty rear lights. the one at the plate number there.. haha..

 

when i tested the bike, the handlebar was slanted haha.. then mech says its normal..is it guys? then to my amazement he twisted the handlebar like bicycle one sia..

 

is this normal?
