cashcard in iu but no deduction

hi guys, i went thru erp gantry from cte to pie at 711pm.

 

as first time riding this route, i inserted my cashcard before hand. so i saw a gantry showing the time so tat means its in operation. but when i reached home, wanted to check how much was deducted, it shows $5. so tat means nothing was deducted. so.... will there be a fine stating i didnt insert cashcard. and its a new cashcard anyways which contains $5.

 

so i just need to wait for any letter? if kena fine can appeal? but how to say. my english so bad.

I have kena twice. Both times, I got a reminder letter from LTA requesting for me to change the cashcard as it may be faulty or to have a check at my IU. The reminder letter also states that for me to make sure that the cashcard was properly inserted b4 passing the gantry. What happened was, for both instance, money was deducted for the 1st gatry but not the second. No fine or any penalties.

IU unit spoilt? mine oso happen like that. called them up and then they sent me a letter for an inspection and found out my IU spoilt.

Got a letter from LTA to inspect my IU few months back Cuz IU sometime can read my cash card some time cant.. Went to LTA, Inspect my IU but no problem.. So if u got the same case wait for the letter to come..

I think you rode side by side with another vehicle when approaching the gantry right? This sometimes happen. The other vehicle's IU was detected and deducted but not yours ...considered free ah...

 

Dun worry that much, think of it as a way that govt is paying you back for your years of contribution.

are u sure this can happen?? with the kind of advanced technology nowadays, i suspect u put 10 motorcycles cross the gantry at the same time also it can make the deduction.

Yes confirm coz the Cash Card value was not deducted. No matter how good your system is, there is bound to be bugs. If you think the technolody is advanced, its not.

 

I won't go into the details. Its my gain anyway. Am happy that this happens to me. No complains.

but if cashcard faulty it shows Err on the iu rite. tats y i bought a new cashcard since my previous one spoilt.

I had the same problem.Seemed that the IU wiring was done wrongly by bike shop.

 

But no fines...just check the IU at the inspection place...

Just write in to appeal can do. If IU spoilt, the display will not even light up. If it still show ERR, that means ur IU is still okay.

Check fuse. It along the (+) line. If fuse is ok and yet IU still no power, just go back warranty provided you still have it. It a 5 yr warranty.

You might have to check with NETS.
